With full prep, Darui sets up spikes and as soon as the battle starts he paralyzes Kakuzu with black lightning then he launches laser circus and destroys all five masks at once before they can separate. It's not really fair that Darui got prep and intel seeing as we witnessed what he can do with prep during the war. I'd say under normal conditions Kakuzu takes this.

Considering Kakuzu was more than a match for Kakashi with support, I'd say Kakuzu wins. Almost all of Darui's techniques are lightning based as well and Kakuzu has access to all five elements so he can counter them easily.

Did you ignore the part where Darui got full prep and intel. Black Lightning paralyzes Kakuzu long enough for Darui to use Laser Circus. Kakuzu has no counter to that; he's actually more likely to be susceptible to it since the nature he usually starts off with is Earth.

Only Darui used Black Lightning before and Kakuzu wasn't hit by it. Yes, he wasn't aiming specifically for Kakuzu, but that doesn't mean Kakuzu can't dodge it or counter with a Wind technique. Just because you have prep doesn't mean you get a sneak attack. I honestly don't see how prep helps Darui at all. The spikes at the beach weren't set up by Darui alone, they were set up by the Allied Force and they didn't really do much anyway as Kakuzu and the Zetsu just jumped over them.

They were set up specifically for Darui's technique and as you pointed out yourself he wasn't aiming specifically for him, and Kakuzu had the distinct advantage of having hundreds of mindless Zetsu plunge in head first so that none of the Edos could fall for the trap.

We've hardly seen Kakuzu in any fights so it's hard to say what is IC and OOC for him. Saying it's OOC for Kakuzu to send out his hearts relatively early is tying his hands behind his back and giving Darui an advantage. During the fight against the Shinobi Alliance he immediately sent out his hearts after he had replenished his stock. Once Kakuzu sees Darui use lightning against him he'll send out at least the wind heart. I guess it comes down to whether or not Kakuzu can dodge the initial Black Panther (I think he could). Kakuzu is a speedy character (I can give you panels if you really want feats), he has his wires for leverage, and Black Lightning isn't noted for being fast. Kakuzu is actually shown to be among the frontlines of the Akatsuki army and he just jumped before the Black Panther hit the water, it wasn't because he was in the back ranks and away from the technique.

I say Dauri cuz he is very fast and has varitey and strenght in his ninjutsu

Storm >>> earth,fire,water,lighting (and probably wind)
Black lighing>>earth,fire,water,lighting (and probably wind)
water>> fire
lighting>>earth

Dauri can use his jutsu to take out most of the hearts out at once

If we use what we know about elemental advantages Storm is strong against fire-that it. It's normal strength against water, earth, and lightning, and weak against wind. Although storm is a mixture of two elements so it may be a little more powerful than all of the elements besides wind.

Black lightning is just a lightning technique and would therefore only be strong against earth and would be weak to wind.

You forget that Kakuzu can combo attack with the elements he has to make them stronger (like his fire+wind attack).

Kakazu is not that fast. Lighing ninjutsu is one of the faster ninjutsu so Kakazu can not run forever... especially his hearts.

Since when is Raikiri weaker than Laser Circus? The jutsu is specifically designed for piercing things!

Darui's water is not stopping a fire+wind combo-we know, Kakashi tried and failed. Kakuzu also has other elements.

Kakuzu is not that fast... How did he blitz Kakashi then?

He has an Earth technique-Iron Skin, he's not mostly made up of earth.

Lightning>Earth, but Earth>Water. Storm Release is Lightning and Water.

Darui can't use Black Lightning, Storm Release and a Suiton at the same time and none of them can counter a Fire+Wind combo on their own.

I'm not arguing that Darui slow, just that Kakuzu isn't.

so? he does not need to use storm he has lighing or black ligihting!! Also just because strom has water does NOT mean earth beats it. Thats like fire+wind beats water... which is FALSE something that we both said and agreed on

- Kakazu would not do the fire/wind combo till the end due to his character
- With Darui's knowledge he would be aware of that combo and he would take out the fire and/or wind heart with storm
