It all began on that sweet summer morning. The skies were blue and all was well. But then the lions came. And they weren't looking to make friends.
A few brave or perhaps stupid fools made me question who's really on top
of the food chain. The lions were sick of our arrogance. We stole their
crown and now the king of the jungle wanted it back. It could have been
a slaughter. It should have been a slaughter. But out of either cruelty
or a strange sense of mercy we were sparred. They took all our modern
weapons and tools. Except for the internet. We were allowed to say
our final goodbyes to our loved ones. The lions roared

FOR TOO MANY YEARS WE HAVE LIVED UNDER YOUR TYRANNY!
NOW YOU PITIFUL HUMANS SHALL ENDURE OUR WRATH FOR
EXACTLY ONE YEAR! WE WILL NOT EAT YOU UNTIL ONE YEAR
IS UP NOR SHALL WE HARM YOU IN ANY WAY. BUT YOU WILL
BE FARMED AND BARNED UNTIL THE DAY OF YOUR SLAUGHTER.
YOU WILL BE ABLE TO USE THE INTERNET AND ROAM FREELY
FOR THE WHOLE PLANET IS OUR DOMAIN BUT YOU MUST
NOT BUILD A SPACESHIP. THAT'S AGAINST THE RULES.

It wasn't thought out very far. It was actually pretty stupid.

they don't really have the capacity to operate our tech so..my guess is the war is bloody but considering how badly they're out numbered twenty or so hours into it..its over

Just so you know the humans aren't allowed to use pre-existing
technology except for

internet
anything before the industrial revolution

do note that they are allowed to rebuild.
(the lions are hibernating while prep is going on).

The question is can they rebuild in time?

no but they don't need too they just need to make enough muskets and armor and sabers...and throw themselves at the hopelessly outnumbered lions
