Anime to Manga (Anime spoiler heads up!)

Possible manga to anime spoilers, nothing much that won't ruin stuff for you.

I know this may belong in the cinema, but I think it would spoil a bit, so I thought it was more appropriate to make this comment here. Going through this last episode, I think the filler and those writing it must have a similar feeling about the off paneling of some of the fights. This last episode gave us some of that "Seven ninja swordsmen" fight that ended up off paneled, and it looks like they are going to continue to fill in that off paneled fight! personally, I thought this was a great use of the filler and what its true intention should be! What do you all think?

(I put this here because the Anime folks won't know that none of this happened in the main story)

While i still detest fillers with every fiber of my being i do like the new approach they have taken to fillers.

From 'giant animal islands' and imposters to actually intresting battles that would have been good to see.

none of it is cannon, but we already know the results of AFTER what happened. That is the kicker. We know that both Guy and Kakashi survive, we just don't know the details of what happened. Making up details won't change the end result, and fills that void that a lot of people have (with not seeing the fights). Does it really matter how Kakashi and his soldiers won? not really...is it interesting anyway? absolutely!

I dont really think that this is the right way to do the whole Naruto and Manga thing. I think that manga should be as far from anime as it is now but without any fillers. I think all the fillers should be in the end of the whole anime and manga and titled like "4th ninja war: Seven swordsman of the mist chonicles". And similar titles to other fillers just because i dont know who makes these animes but they are not made well and they make it quick and without thinking over it. Example: The girls get together. It is all just to make it and make money from it. Thats not the point. What we've thus far - same sounds which are getting a little bit boring and some new sound themes which are not interesting and thrilling at all.

Also nothing special about the filler. If I was making the filler anime and lets say im making it for someone who has no idea that anime is the animated cover of the manga. So i would make it as good as a following-the-story episode so the viewer wont think like "this is getting boring i want to see more interesting fights."

But now in the fillers we see quick and not very well organised fights with lots of nonsense which i dont agree. (just ask me and i wll answer). Also lots of bad scenes showing us uninteresting off-topic information about the heroes and the plot itself. Example- Again - Girls get together and the whole Naruto-goes to land of the lighting-filler where they were travelling on a ship. Lots of stupid actions. Lots of uninteresting fights .. especially when he was fighting vs some strange creatures from their imaginary jungle. Because Naruto is what it is because of its main plot and story. Any other filler just destroys what Naruto really is. And that is making me sad, very sad and unhappy. Maybe im getting it too deep but this is how i feel it and how i think about it.

So once upon a time i was a sworn anime fan but now i aknowledge the manga much more and i accept it much more. Dont know why. If Kishi is afraid that Anime will pull up to the manga eventually then change the shedule.

But anyway i dont care much for the anime episodes as i did long ago (just like Tobi ). I watch them only to see how good the anime is made.

I agree with you And17y1! I am not a particular fan of filler in general, and I know its point is to make money and put some distance between the Anime and Manga..however as you said there are pretty crappy fillers that made their way through the series, which really did nothing special. However, as I read through what some people are really disappointed with in the Manga, one thing in particular caught my eye! the off panel fights that they felt were significant. I thought this filler finally moved in the right direction by addressing that, its essentially fanfic, but its not bad, and sort of fills in that "what happened" gap. I am more leaning at, I wished that was the purpose of filler..to fill in those gaps and bring a bit more life to the off paneled stuff.

Anyways dont get me wrong. Fillers themselves are not something very very bad. I dont mind them but make them as they're supposed to be like a normal episode. Because I dont mind seeing something special off-topic what i DO mind is a boring filler episode.

I agree these kinda fillers are really good I had hoped they would add stuff like this for the war and they had off-panel fillers are good at least. And I wonder if this also counts as Kakashi getting more screen time like Kishi said he would since we are seeing him a lot on both anime and manga at the same time and this was supposed to be Kakashi's year even though the year is almost over we are seeing him do more stuff now and I don't see why it can't be both in the manga and also the stuff they added in the anime.
