On FFXIII, currently on Chapter 7...I done that in only a few days, yet the problem is that I am having some trouble with some creatures and the battles end up being too long and getting no stars.
Anyway, like a gatling gun from one of those flying bikes was able to kill my character, which had 1,000+ HP and yeah that's not the only creature, I know, when I went into battle with Behemoths and Wyverns/Dragons, I got killed quite quickly or injured badly, anyway, so does anyone have some tips on how to get them stronger and where is an okay place to build up, where I don't have to have a medic in every battle? Or any the statuses and that plus... Money, money is always running short all the time, so any places where it's alright enough to battle and pick up some things and get money more and that? I usually like figuring out things on my own, though as of late, my patience hasn't been the best with working out, to getting things done or better.. |

are you with lightning or snow? Because if you have Snow the best way to beat the gatling gun guys is to use a SEN/MED paradigm. I cant really help you with Lightning because i dont really have a strategy for beating them with her. The best place to level up is there is a part after Hope and Snow gt blown on the top of that building and iwhen you jump down in that big hallway, there is a spot where there will be a motorcycle that keeps coming back. Money-wise, you shouldn't need it but if you really need it the just sell the catalysts because you dont need those for a while and are easy to find later on

Yeah I know about that, I have been selling the odd few yet holding onto some, since I know the best time to even bother about doing anything about upgrading, is after Chapter 11. The problem with most battles on my part is they always tend to take too long, I'm more for one to get the better scores with battles and that, since with it, you likely to get more rare items and that, so I still haven't found the fastest way to end a lot of battles..

Hmm, well a Preemptive strike would help tons with your ranking and the fights themselves.
Maybe its how you developed your characters with the crystarium. Are you actually fighting everything you see? If you were then you should have gotten enough CP to increase your stats and learn new attacks at a fairly even pace with the story. All I can say is focus on the cheap abilities and stat boosts first and not the really expensive ones that start to appear when you level up a role enough. With Lightning and Fang make sure you have a these paradigms. Lightning/Fang *Commando/Commando *Ravager/Commando *Commando/Sentinel *Ravager/Sentinel or Saboteur *Medic/Sentinel *Medic/Commando or Saboteur I don't remember if Fang has her saboteur role at that time in the game or not but if she does then use that in the 4th and 6th paradigms. For Snow and Hope. Snow/Hope *Commando/Ravager *Sentinel/Medic *Sentinel/Synergist *Ravager/Ravager *Commando/Medic *Ravager/Medic Remember Potions heal your entire party and you can summon your Eidolon in a pinch as long as you have 3 TP. Your Eidolon will replace all your party members besides the summoner and when it leaves your dead party members will be revived so you can really use it at the last moment if you don't have any potions or phoenix downs. tl:dr, your screwed if you can't handle switching paradigms frequently and quickly. Tips: You can refresh your ATB gauge by switching paradigms to another paradigm with the same roles, ex: Switch from a paradigm consisting of 3 commando's to another paradigm that consists of the same and your ATB gauge will refresh letting you attack 2 times as much without waiting.

Most of my characters are level 2 with all their roles or close to it or even over it, so have fought a lot of the battles I've come across, sometimes I avoided the ones that I hadn't figured out how to end in a reasonable time though.
I tend to hang around and do what I can, building up and that so most games I don't have a problem with just at the moment, too much stress anywhere else with things, I haven't been very patient with the game, just want to do the best I can, with the least hassle, so mn. I am quite quick with the change, so that's not a problem just overall lengthy battles get to become a drag. Yes my Fang has her Saboteur. Currently I'm at the point in the chapters where it's just turned back to Vanille and Sazh.

The best thing to do in this game,is to advoid them or give snow some more HP via assecorys. Black belts and siver bangles help. I just say advoid them because this is one of the hardest parts in the game.
I finished this game 2 times. But if you must fight it,just use the sen/med combo and use steel guard. Hope will keep healing you and the steelguard will reduce damage. Don't forget protect. That's a must. I think i'll make a guide of this.

I have the accessory that is higher then the silver bangle on most the low HP people or people that have to withstand the brunt of the attacks, like the leader for instance, they die game over, heh.
