Which team wins? Battlefield is Air Temple Island. Avatar State is not allowed for Korra or Aang.

Team one wins. Mostly because katara can bloodbend if she needs to and sokka should be able to take out asami by cutting off her limbs.

If korra or any benders gets tagged by by aang physically they become utterly useless

Katara can't bloodbend without a full moon and Asami's martial abilities far outclass anything Sokka's ever shown

Technically Korra has energybending too. But I'll restrict that along with the Avatar State.

Aang> Korra (more experience in airbending/ evasion master i dont see korra tagging him)
Toph > Bolin (seismic sense)
Zuko > Mako (he has shown far more powerfull attacks and variations then mako has at this point)
Katara > Iroh (there on a island which means there is plenty of water for katara to use but this will be no easy one becauseiroh can fly could go either way really)
Sokka > Asami (only due to his wider arsenal of weapons and his creative strategys could go either way if asami gets the electrical glove)

But really from what korra has displayed in the first season there probably not winning from the gaang.

The Gaang wins.

he has shown the best in using the elements

Hmm toughie. I would go with Team Korra. I think that fact Korra seems to be a bit more rash and rushes into battles could be an issue if she ran into Toph since everyone would most likely be stopped in their tracks due to her "seeing through bending"

But I still think Team Korra has many people that are really good and innovative with their bending.

Also depends on age.

Young Team Aang vs. normal Team Korra= Winner Team Korra.
Adult Team Aang vs. normal Team Korra= Team Aang for sure.

The old team stomps. The original series focused more on large scale attacks and fights while the new series has so far been more of close quarters fighting, like more of a boxing style. Both styles have their advantages and disadvantages, but on the big open island, team one has the advantage with their fighting style. It terms of sheer power, the new team is just simply outclassed, and they don't have anything to make up for that.

Aang murks Korra and Toph solos everyone else....seriously, greatest earth bender ever after King Boomy. The power distribution of the new Team Avatar is extremely unbalanced with Korra holding most of the power, followed by nuIroh, and everyone else being amateurs. Toph held her own against four earth benders with far more experience and made them look foolish. With metal bending by the end of the series she could take on fleets of enemies, something Korra can barely manage now.
