So thinking about this last chapter a little more than the one prior because (i hope) we are getting to a point where we can tie all this together a bit more and try to come out with some interesting answers.

First of all the rainfall, I think its interesting we see it here because we know how significant it was for Nagato and the Hidden Rain village. I believe something in terms of the technique used by pain was used here in order to a more specific location of this event, so that Obito would experience it, this was more than likely not just some random event.

Moving onward, we can make a couple of assumptions here when it came to Rin's death. I want to point out, in an earlier thread I made a point of stating that the demon wind shurikens on her kimono represented a clan emblem (like the fan on Obito's). I stated that perhaps that would tie her to the Hidden Rain, where we found Nagato later, but it would also tie her to the Fuma clan, which is a clan famous (specifically in the hidden rain village) for the demon wind shuirken, but said to be far spread out. This makes me wonder if she was a spy, but not in the way you think! more of an unwilling or unknowing spy.

We know the mist was after something specific, They stated that "he took her out, just when we got our hands on it," probably means that she was the key to unlocking something! I would imagine it was something that she inadvertently recorded or had some knowledge of. My thought on her death was that it was a request...She understood the ramifications, and would rather die at the hands of a friend than by the enemy after the information would have been lifted. Why would they want her dead body? perhaps there was still a potential to pull information from her even if she wasn't alive, but I am not certain.

One can arguably state that this was set up by Madara, remember at this point, when there was a war between the Leaf and Mist (as we saw with Kisame's story) everything was being manipulated on that side by Madara himself, meaning that attack and potentially that which followed was not by accident at all.

Just some thoughts and observations.

Gathering info from other websites it appears that RIn and Kakashi were experiements... the bijju theory is becoming more likely but.....
