Didn't we debate this a week or two ago?
Darui wins. Yamato's version of Wood Release is for the most part pretty lackluster. Darui has the elemental advantage and has better battle feats.

Darui is clearly at an advantage, being a lightning affinity user.
However, I do think that if Yamato could expand on the Kyuubi sealing techniques and work on some other stuff and become more of a Hashirama like figure, he could pose a bigger threat. At least I think it's Hashirama. I always mix up the 1st and 2nd. Plus this has been done.

my main theory is that lighing storm causes fire on trees
Yamato can not make trees fast enough to damage Dauri
