I've posted this on another forum already. So, if you're a member of both and have seen this DON'T freak out

. Its the same person. But here's a little theory I've been thinking about for the series finale.

Naruto has been charged with the ending of hatred in the ninja world. No one has been able to accomplish this no matter what method they use to go about doing it. So, how do we end hatred? Terminate the source of hatred. When Naruto said that both Sasuke and he would die, he was right. But it won't just be Sasuke and Naruto who die. Let me explain.

The long-term cause of all this hatred and these ninja wars is power. The source of this power lies in the special abilities attributed to special people; powers like the Sharingan, the Rinnegan, the Tailed Beasts, and skills given to special clans. The end of all these superpowers will signal the end of the Naruto series. I've seen some posts across some forums about how the characters who possess these abilities will go about repopulating their dojutsu. I believe there is a much greater chance that these powers will die out before the former can happen. Not only do the chances produce unlikely results, but Kishi would have to create separate "romance" plots for each said character, which (I think) would ruin the story. If you disagree with me, lets take a look at each character:

Sharingan

Madara: is a baddy and immortal. has to get defeated.
Sasuke: not much evidence for him except that Naruto said both of them would die fighting. But even if he is the last Sharingan out of the bunch, then how will it continue?
Tobi: I believe Kakashi and Tobi will kill each other. That would complete the death of Minato's team. Plus, this would give us an opportunity for Tobi to push Kakashi far enough for Kakashi's mask to come off (finally).
Kakashi: see Tobi.

Rinnegan

Madara: once again, has to die
Tobi: same as above
Sasuke (possibly): he may evolve his EMS, but even if he does, Naruto and him will fight.

Tailed Beasts

Naruto: dies with Sasuke. maybe sacrifices himeself for "the good of the village" or something.
If Juubi is revived: then it will get defeated, and there will probably be no more tailed beasts
If Juubi is NOT revived: Naruto may reunite them to like other people, and they may just live in harmony together in some kind of spirit world type thing.

Kekkai Genkai
I believe every Kekkai Genkai is gone at this point. I think there is still Suigetsu's and Jugo's, but I feel like they're becoming less and less important.

I know this is all theory, but do you see what I mean? There is a lot greater chance for all the abnormal powers to die out than repopulating. I think if its done the right way, then this could be a good ending for the series. I know there's still the fact that Naruto doesn't become Hokage, but I feel like his charge with eliminating hatred has overpowered that goal.

Summary: everyone who has a special power that could spawn war in the ninja world dies. Byakugan doesn't count since, apparently, if Oro doesn't want it, then no one wants it.

I made a theory like this a few months ago I believed naruto would become the juubi host and would use the reaper death seal to seal him, sasuke and the juubi so the circle of hated ends since the sharringan won't be carried on and the tailed beasts won't be used for schemes to talk over the world.

Even though kakashi has the sharringan he still can't pass the KG on since he isn't a uchiha.

So the way to peace is the convenient elimination of everyone with special powers? That's like a step away from supporting Genocide. This scenario also wouldn't be supporting Naruto finding a way to peace-he's not actively doing anything in it (besides killing Sasuke), the deaths of these powerful people in isolated battles =/= Naruto bringing peace.

There are plenty of people still alive with Kekkei Genkai as well: Darui, Kurotsuchi, Dodai, Mei and Onoki to name a few.

Well naruto does want to end the cycle of hatred and die shouldering Sasuke's burden. By killing himself, sasuke, and the juubi nations can't use the tailed beasts, the Uchihas hatred ends... But whose to say this will stop war? That plan is too flawed

Indeed.

And who's to say that the abilities listed above won't come again? They came about once, it could happen again. Who's to say new ones won't come about. The abilities themselves are not inherently bad. It's how people choose to use them. You can not have good without evil.

I totally don't buy it. First, it in no way eliminates kekkei genkai, simply because it is so diffused into the population. Remember Narutoverse history: the Uzumaki were wiped out -- except they weren't, obviously. Killing everyone is actually pretty hard. What makes anyone think that all the people genetically related to the Uchiha are even involved in the war? Hell, the rinnegan wasn't even supposed to exist, but we have three users floating around now. I'm also betting that many Senju relations will survive, and they are related to the Uchiha. We know there is at least a notion of familiar genetics in Naruto, since Kakashi called the rinnegan a "recessive gene." So why wouldn't the sharingan pop back up again?

Second, it negates the possiblity that Naruto becomes the Hokage, which is quite likely to happen, simply because it's a longer-standing goal of his than "saving Sasuke" and he hasn't given up on the idea. You know how this works.

Third, you might counter by saying that Naruto and Sasuke are going to die fighting each other, but we all know what a slippery proposition death is in Narutoverse. Very few characters have died in the actual course of the story, and most of them are evil. Add to that notion the fact that most of them have been revived in some way, if not outright resurrected. You know, like the entire Leaf Village.

sorry, i can't agree with your idea of ending hatred.

1. there is a reason why sage didn't just destroyed juubi. probably it is because they are immortal beings. they are like intelligent chakra-and you cant wipe out chakra, it just exists. they can be sealed, but not a single one was killed.

2. there is still a bunch of kekkei genkais. maybe some of them wont remain clear, they can mixing with others clan blood. some new might be created, i mean in theory we can see mixing uzumaki and hyuga blood. if sas would have been atleast little normal, we even could be able to observe uzumaki-uchiha mix (karin).

3. hatred isn't about power, it is about guilt and revenge (Sasuke), crime and punishment (Orochimaru), jealously (Uchiha) and lack of will to understand each other (Pain).

4. solution to all problems by death of everyone who is source of hatred is more the way of Tobi, Pain and Sasuke. not Jiraya, Minato and Naruto. it would.be bad for plot.
