Ok, we know that probably Madara saved Obito. He bandaged him, but as we see, he basically has no a arm. So Madara went easier way - he just cutted smashed body and implanted something new. Simple explanation would be that he implanted him Hashirama body.

But he didn't have whole body, he just had some of his DNA.

One explanation might be that he grew part of full body from DNA samples. We don't know if it is possible, but Yamato is basically clone of Hashirama. We don't know if he has his regeneration ability. But still, his DNA was implanted in him when he was kid, so he is just partially his clone. It probably gives him only power over wood element. And only Yamato, from around twenty kids, survived it. I don't know if almost dead, young boy, would survive such surgery (and even Danzo had problem with Hashirama DNA/chakra).

My second thought would be that... Madara implanted half of his. Tobi claimed that he has "Madara Uchiha power". Maybe Madara implanted half of his body in him, with already implanted Hashirama DNA. It would explain why this half of body and face looks older. If he just regenerated with the help of Hashirama DNA, he would just regain normal look in my opinion.

Third would be that implanted part was basically Zetsus part. It connected with his mind and enables him to send and gather memories (recording ability of Zetsu). It would be part of original, white Zetsu. Black Zetsu was created when smashed half of the body was implanted in Zetsu - making him other part, other personality, more depraved, more mature one, more darker like Uchiha clan.

How do you think? Any other candidates?

I do agree with the Zetsu part considering whenever he had a major injury on his right side it "oozed". I also agree with the Madara part and also since they're both Uchihas their DNA might have some (though quite distant) similar properties. Not sure on the Hashirama part though...if you could further elaborate on that I might be more open. Because I just don't see how/when it would have been implanted, unless Orochimaru had something to with if....

Well, I doubt it is really Hashirama part of body. But still possible. We don't know Obito parents, why he was so... different than Uchihas we know. And I read somewhere that he didn't have training which every young Uchiha comes through. He had problems with eyes.

He claims that he has Senju DNA/Body, but most people...didn't survived it injection. From many children (sixty children), injection survived only one. Danzo had a lot of problems with it. I don't think that Obito was very different from others. And moreover, I don't think that someone with just his DNA gets that super-regenerating ability (Danzo didn't showed it, and so didn't Yamato).

So my most extremely (maybe the most stupid one) theory is that... one of his parents, or one of Obito ancestors was Senju/Uzumaki related. Madara injected parts of Hashirama, or just his cells in his body, which reacted in growing back his arm. He survived injection because of his blood. And it would explain why from a lot of Uchiha in that time, Madara chose exactly this young boy.

Well you never know. The Uzumaki/Uchiha theory is possible. Somehow Romeo&Juliet pop up because of how much the Uchihas hated the Senju and the fact that the Senju and the Uzumaki family were close.
Though I somehow think another Uchiha would pop up.

I also think that, Tobi's original right side is layered with hashirama's body... This is how he was able to survive...THE LIFE FORCE of HASHIRAMA...

Something must be wrong with your theory because ... well i cant say it is already wrong but if Tobi has Hashi cells yeah he is strong indeed but if he goes to the state with critical amount of chakra the cells of hashirama would escalate in his body causing death.. like what happened to Danzou.

Yeah I also think Tobi's right half is made from hashi's cells but .. not exactly they are hashirama's but rather Zetsu's.

Really look what Tobi has in his lair. A real Hashirama from cultivating his cells. What if Madara created it and gave it to Tobi. And he used a technique based on "Creation of all things" to create Zetsu from Hashi's dna .. well not sure if the whole Zetsu but the white one.. for sure he is from Hashi's cells.

So Tobi's right half is not Hashirama's real cells but Zetsu's.

did anyone notice on page 13 mid panel that the white zet has its heads in exact same swirl effect as tobis 1st mask? thought it was kinda intresting how alarmingly similar that was... wether thats an important point to thee plot, who knows! lol
