Actually I genuinely had the theory as mine since I joined.

At one brief part I thought Obito may have been zetsu....

Infact, my alt theory is Kagami is still Tobi through some jutsu, and he brought his son Obito to life as zetsu. would explain the parasitic split personality character that is zetsu.

Zetsu seems half dead, and half alive at the same time.

Schrodingers cat, or another reference to a book about a character (not main) in the newest Odd Thomas book (PM me right answer for a rep!)

Would not be surprised if he is, seeing as I am the only Zetsu is Obito person makes me smile.

However, I still like my current theory.

Of all my Tobi theories, I'll go with Izuna Uchiha... It's most justified that the two brothers of old should be the villains... This will explain why Izuna can tell Konan that the rinnegan belongs to him to begin with. Why? because it was his eyes that Madara implanted to become the rinnegan.

Secondly, He izuna is the only person madara would trust to share his moon's eye with.

3rd, Izuna is the only one madara knows enough to say to Muu (kabuto), "THIS IS SOMETHING HE'd DO". This is regarding tobi not following the plan.

4th, Izuna when revived, did not have eyes, thus it made sense he'd covet a sharingan, and behold, he stumbled over obito.

Imo... Madara used his rinnegan to Rinne Tensei Izuna his brother. Told him the plan and asked him to revive him later. However, madara died shortly after he revived Izuna.

On another note, you can't have several theories. Well, you can, technically, but you shouldn't have. You should have 1 theory you go for, its also more fair, but 1 you thrust as being the most likely. Your other theories are just random shots in the dark, you hope to get something right by chance and they show how mentally unstable you are in your theories.
In a way, it downgrades the plausibility of your theory. You should weigh them against each other in your head, and then kill off the ones that make less sense.

Funny enough, I've only had one theory ever. Was I even close to start another theory?Even once? No, nothing i heard from anyone made any sense at all. Ever. Random shots in the dark. Speculation and wishthinking.

So when i hear people say they have or had several theories, my thrust in them diminishes fast.

Obviously he has some part of his body as a Zetsu but generally, I think it is Kagami.

First of all, his hair fits perfectly.
Second of all, this make his age not an issue.
He could easily have Madara as his father, grandfather or some other ancestor.

He was together with Hiruzen and Danzo and the other elders. The only one that is not among the elders is him. This could mean he disappeared, that is why he wears his mask. So people wouldn't recognize him.
If he was Kagami, he could've learned about Time Space Jutsu from Tobirama.
Also, that would explain how he was able to fight Minato without instantly losing.

Anyway, Obito died and was crushed, Izuna lost his eyes and supposedly died,... Kagami is probably the only one that doesn't have huge reason why Tobi couldn't be him!!!

I LOVE this theory and I hope it is right. He has the biggest background to work with
