Because it's before lunch, the nose hairs would not have had their fill of nutrients therefore their performance lower than usual.

The lint's only disadvantage is that lint hardly can stand up to anything BUT is very resistant against pressure.

While both lint and hair can withstand great deals of compressed strength (as in trying to crush either object), lint also has strength in stretch. Being when a hair is pulled apart, it is broken, while the lint just multiplies.

Lint wins.

Belly button lint. According to Spongebob, you can take naps in it and it is very comfortable.
