Shikamaru vs Sakura

I just got the idea for this and I wanted to see what everyone opinions were about.

Each have full prep.

Each have full knowledge.

They are fighting in the forest of death, with animals and past traps.

Each start on opposite ends.

This is Shikamaru and Sakura from Part Two.

All anime and Manga feats are usable.

Who wins?

Shikamaru easily could win this because he easily can out smart sakura and lay traps out for her
probably even get her trapped in shadow possession jutsu or shadow strangle.

SHIKAMARU STOMPS why?

Not only is he smarter than Sakura but his clan is KNOWN for making traps

Most likely they both survive each others attacks and soon they meet up

When they meet they both dash to each other

Sakura gets ready to throw a poison Kunai then suddenly
BAM

Shikamaru throws a light bomb and Sakura is blinded and shikamaru uses his shadows to pierce and pin down Sakura for the win.

Sakura can not really win Shikamrau is a long distance fighter and Sakura is not so he has the advantage... how does Sakura win??

Well to answer both of your questions, one is eh, the more I thought about it the more thought that it might be interesting.

I thought that the fact that Sakura had Super strength along with her medical ninjutsu might give someone a decent argument on her side, like for example there is nothing proving that Sakura would run at Shikamaru with a poison Kunai, there is nothing saying that Sakura might not spot Shikamaru before he is aware of her presence.

Sakura could crush the ground under Shikamaru, knocking him off balance and or leaving him open for an attack vis paper bomb or poison kunai.

However, I've personally I've never had any doubts that Shikamaru could win, I just wanted to see what everyone else had to say.

It's hard to tell since we(Not me at least) don't know the factors which play into the strength shikamaru's shadow jutsu.Judging from the fight with tayuya, she seemed to be overpowering his hold via strength. If that's the case, sakura will at least have a fighting chance as long as she's not outright skewered by the trap which turned hidan into a pin cushion.

Shikimaru wins if he has prep. Without prep the battle is a little more even.

I was gonna say the same thing. xD

Sakura needs some credit though. Shikamaru is ninjustu and tools mostly, so he's screwed if he let's her get close. And with her being a medic, her first priorty is evasion, so it wouldn't be easy for him to land his shadow. She's seen him pull a fast one on Temari in the finals. She's smart, so I think she'd do well to remember that.

Anyways, my point: Shikamaru wins, but not easily. I think Sakura could hold her own for a while.

OK how about this, Shikamaru has full prep as in he gets all the tools he wants in before going into the forest of death, but no prep in the forest of death.

Sakura has the same thing only she has 12 hours of prep in the forest of death before Shikamaru arrives.

Now does anyone have any arguments about that or do I have to add this to the OP before we go on?

Trying to make it a little bit more equal here.

Welp, she did fine against Sasori, who was a long range fighter, and Akatsuki. If she can pull that off (Yes, even with help from Chiyo), she has a good chance at Shikamaru.
Shikamaru may be genius, and good at strategy and all that, but Sakura is known for her cunning too. I think a lot of people just say "ShikaSTOMP!" because either it's their preference in characters or they aren't really considering what she's capable of. In my opinion anyways. =/

True, however I disagree with you only on two things, one being that without Chiyo I believe that Sakura would have died almost instantly and two being that she is cunning, but I don't see her coming up with anything that Shikamaru couldn't handle, however, I'm here to see what other people have to say.

Yeah, she would've. I guess not cunning but she has that certain intellect. Observant and calculating and all that. This is a fight that I kinda wish would actually happen.
