So, to simplify, silly Tobi was Spiral Zetsu, and he died in Deidara's explosion. When that happened, real Tobi (Obito) took over as Tobi.

Correct?

How about the 3 tails? Was spiral strong enough to defeat the three tails? Remember Diedara had trouble with it and Tobi was the one that brought it down. Although this was a filler arc so it may be irrelevant.

It is filler arc, wasn't in the manga at all, so I'd disregard it. I don't think Tobi ever actually switched places, we only see Tobi being goofy in the anime, not so much in the manga.

Tobi was goofy right before he showed Kisame his true face after Itachi's death. He was also goofy during the fight between himself and the Konoha Team while Sasuke fought Itachi, which were after the Deidara fight.

This is exactly what I said... people just aren't comprehending it. He acted like spiral white Zetsu at first, so they didn't think that he was a different person. He would have to act the same way, and then change his personality in person. Because if he just approached Kakashi's crew and acted totally different, then they would have thought something was up. Correct? But yes... I 100% agree with this.

I also posted something way back when that the role of Tobi was played by different people. At least 2. Back then, it was a semi-observant guess, but now its looking more and more plausible.

Lingerings effects from when Obito was fused with Tobi? I know if that thing attached to me, I certainly wouldn't be able to get over it so easily.

umm how about when silly acting tobi used the sharingan realm several times to become transparent and to escape attacks while fighting the konoha team he still acted just as childish but just as a delay tactic I don't think his personality mattered I just think he acted so unassuming to begin with because he had plenty of pawns to continue to the work of the akatsuki he only showed himself when he had to once everyone else was defeated the five kage wouldn't of believed sasuke was the one behind the war afterall

We never saw him use a Sharingan until after Deidara's death. The ONLY time we see him go intangiable is when Sasuke initially attacked him with his sword atthe beginning of that battle. For once the anime actually gives a good depiction of this. If you notice, the sword makes a depression THEN it goes through. That "Tobi" was probably actually cut in half and just connected his body back to together.

Actually, the first time is when he's initially introduced after the Sasori battle. He lets Sasori's ring slip through his hand.

Spoiler: The Obito that first joined Akatsuki that wasn't really him. That was Spiral Zetsu. AKA, Tobi. Spiral Zetsu took some of Obito's chakra to be him. It was all part of Obito's plan, that's why we didn't see Tobi with a sharingan. And died in Deidara's explosion. And Deidara has a way of spotting Uchiha.
