The Summoning Jutsu: A What If Scenario

In the beginning of ninjutsu, there was the Sage of Six Paths. In his search for this mysterious power, he spent many a day looking toward his inner self. After long periods of meditation, the Sage came to realize the existence of gods of the Living and gods of Death. The gods resided in a realm called Yomi, and made themselves known to the Sage of Six Paths. They saw the Sage's love for peace and granted him their knowledge of ninjutsu. This is when the first contract was made. The Sage of Six Paths made a contract with the gods of the Living and the gods of Death. The gods made but one condition: this power must only be used to keep balance in the world. This summoning resulted in the creation of Yin Jutsu and Yang Jutsu. The Sage used this jutsu to create and destroy on behalf of the gods, thus creating a balance in the world.

One of the tasks set before him was the elimination of the Juubi, whom made an overwhelming sense of hatred in the world. In order to keep balance, the world needed both good AND evil. So, without destroying the Juubi, the Sage of Six Paths divided the Juubi; using the gods of the Living to create nine smaller forces, and the gods of Death to seal the Juubi's soul away forever.

While on his death bed, the Sage of Six Paths purposefully raised a son of good intent and a son of evil intent in order to keep balance in the world. He knew that they too would make contracts with the gods and that they would use them against each other. He gave the son of good intent the power of natural energy in order for this son's descendants to understand that power must come from within. He also gave the son of evil intent the power of eyesight in order to see a better future for the world than it is now. He left BOTH of the sons a tablet. On the tablet was the contract for the gods.

The tablet was passed through many generations, and soon, the true purpose of the tablet was lost among the descendants. Wars were waged and blood was shed, but the Sage knew that this future was inevitable. He wanted to prevent his descendants from suffering because of his actions. To counteract this imbalance, before he died, the Sage implemented a punishment. The punishment lied within great tools of power that he forged from his power from the gods in order to obey the condition of the contract.These tools included a spirit sword, sealing gourds, and other tools of tremendous power.

From that moment on, whenever a soul was sealed, it would be directed to the realm of Yomi, where the gods would put into effect an eternal punishment for unraveling the balance in the world.

After the Sage died, the brother of evil intent attempted to collect the nine forces that were once the Juubi, and make their power his own. The brother of good intent saw through his plan, and summoned a god of death to seal his soul away. His soul was transported to Yomi, where the gods punished him. However, the brother used the power of his eyesight to find a way out of Yomi. The brother escaped using special eye jutsu. The gods stole his left eye and cursed the jutsu forever. They declared whoever uses either of the brother's special eye jutsu would lose that eye forever just as he had.

The brother escaped after losing his eye, and because his soul, once sealed, now resides in the world of the Living, his body became immortal. Since it was the brother of good intent's chakra that sealed him, only a descendant of the good brother may defeat him. He lives on today, eternally obsessed with his life goal of complete control, and to be above even the gods in terms of power.

So what is it? If it's a fanfic, I have to ask you to take it down, since you can't use Naruto places, characters, etc, etc in your own story.

The most Tobi in disguise theory...i enjoyed it. Was good. I'm not sure where Shika sees the contradiction tho'
