Please Explain the Attack - Rasengan Planet

I was reading the manga, and I got really confused over what exactly the Rasengan Planet does.

Of course I am curious how the hell Naruto does it, imagine he is rotating rasengans around each other without them touching. - The chakra control must be insane.
Another aspect that I don't understand is the after effect of the attack.
Is that spiral shown in the manga a beam? Is it using wind to form a tornado like attack, is it that the rotations are so fast that it really can cause the person hit to form a tornado around them?- cause that would seriously be insane.

Lastly does anyone else see any future use with this technique- Cho Odama rasengan planet anyone? Rasenshuriken Planet? Or even biju bomb Planet?

Anyways when I saw the attack I imediatly that it would be cool if he has like 10 rasengans circling around him and he acts as the plant.- Naruto should get a ultimate defense, everyone and their grandmothers has one from using sand, intangibility, rotation, or a electric shield. Lets not forget Susanoo and his big brother Perfect Susanoo.
