I assumed it was many years later when the Gaang are adults but not too old, a middle ground between the end of LTA/The Promise and LoK, so that way there's an excuse for everybody suddenly being able to Lightning bend and Metal bend.

That's what I was thinking. Like, Aang would be around 35-40, same time as Yakone sort of.

I was thinking slightly earlier, like when they're 25-35. Aang was 40 during the flashbacks in Out of the Past. At least, I remember saying he was 40.

Nah, the color just comes from the intensity/heat of the fire. Are you taking Combustion out?

Idts, I mean, you can mess it up by throwing a rock at where the person focuses it lol I mean, you could just power down it's capabilities if you wanted. Give it less destructive power and junk?
