Salon del Manga Barcelona (1-4 de noviembre)

Before reading the information, regarding the presentation of Storm 3, it was forbidden to record anything because they showed parts of the game that are in development. The only pics you can see are the ones Matsuyama is with fans :-(. Also the hack 'n slash was showed without sound.

The sources I selecteced where: Hobbyconsolas.com (its an important videogames magazine here in Spain) and guiltybit (good videogame webpage). Moreover, a friend assisted, so we have his impressions, and he observed things that only fans can take note :P.

HACK N’ SLASH

The fight is Gai Rock Lee and Sakura as support fighting against six of the seven swordsmen of the Mist. The second battle that has seen Kakashi was against the seventh swordsman, Zabuza, Haku and his partner.

The gameplay in this hack ‘n slach mode is almost the same as in regular fighting one on one. We launch support when loaded. Special attacks will grab some attention and the camera closer to get a better view of what is happening on screen.

The grace of the matter is that we can play on both sides of the conflict, we can be the villains or heroes, taking the occasional difference in battle. Not explained much about this aspect. *Yokito Note: I don’t know what are referring to. I believe is to the whole game.

This mode could not be tested, but they told us that it is "still in development". For parts. A video presentation in which we could see the battle, during the Fourth Ninja War, against 6 of the 7 swordsmen of the Mist. Our character: Gay supported by Sakura and Lee. This is a boss battle and, unlike the other deliveries, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 (look, from now NSUNS3) include 3 different modes of play.

First mode we would fight the swordsmen of 2 on 2, however,

Second mode challenges us to fight the 6 at a time, and this, dear reader is what we watched. Basically a real challenge for those who want to be tested because the poor Gay did nothing but drop you attack in all directions.

The third case is a "secret" Matsuyama although we said we would know some of it very soon. But yes, we were left with honey on the lips.

From friend who assisted:

Gameplay Gai vs Gatana with Lee and Sakura as supports. Few conclusions can be drawn from this gameplay because it is a very early version. The mode is similar to that of Jiraiya against the 3 Pain, the life of the Gatana appeared just above them. I guess that there will be some button to set the character to which you want to attack or directly fixed to the last that you've attacked, because at times the enemy set up to the right was different.

The bad thing of fighting multiple is when you are thrown in the air another can attack you in the air. In conclusion, a priori it looks like the Hack and Slash will be very hard they throw into the air because they do not need to fill any kawarimi bar the enemy. (it’s juts an impression at this is a beta)
The Justsus of gatana I've seen are those of Mangetsu and Jinpachi, Mangetsu throws a huge water boa (bigger than the characters themselves) and Jinpachi crashes his sword into the ground creating between 3 and 5 meters in front of the explosions.

KAKASHI VS ZABUZA:

The good thing was until zabuza life was lower than the half so the cinematics started with pressing buttons, which corresponds when Kakashi wants to end the fight with a Chidori and Haku appeared. Around this time Kakashi through flashbacks recalling his battle years ago, later a flashback in which they fought in the Battle of the Bridge of years ago and there we cut the Gameplay there.

Something interesting was that Kakashi was fighting with the eye uncovered in the fight although in the artwork he had it covered. It may be only a matter of that fight or that the artwork but this is giving us a chance Kakashi with Kamui awake mode.

The other fight we watched was the fight among Kakashi, Zabuza and Haku supported, where we could see the scenes of Quick Time Events (QTE) that occur when you reach a limit damage or a sequence of strokes, which and in the Storm 2 happen. Matsuyama said that there is something called "Final Decision" and becomes something of a special attack at end of combat.

NEW STAGE:

The other thing that could be observed during the gameplay was the stage of Konoha being rebuilding, very well done indeed. It's like the stage we already have of Konoha, with several streets that converge to the place where we fight with the difference that one side of the Stage it is at a different height so you can be launched to it. During gameplay the character is thrown there but then the support appears to send it back to the battlefield.

The Saiyan version of Naruto has also performed in motion. As you can have an idea, it's just a skin, a suit, so the character has almost the same behavior with all you have. M:We undestand that fans want long cinematic back. In the initial game they were large but then we cut them in following games. Althouth there is not going to be for all characters, some characters will have some attacks with a larger animations that will depend on the time it needs to be completed and spectacular.

I: Are we going to see for new features in versus mode?

M: Yes, we are going to have different kinds of awakenings for characters. One is going to be instantaneous, activated with the second analagic cursor of pad and it will cost the chakra bar. And the other will be like in the previous games. Some characters will see this change in their aspect and other in their commands. For example, Naruto with the bijuu chakra changes his aspect, however kakashi no. Because of that, Kakashi awakened will have some options in the screen for make special attacks (Note yokito: Piroshi uses his hans like using L1 and R1).
Moreover, we have included ring out, we think this would give an added strategy extra in the fights. Also, there is a combat mode that is an improvement of one already presented in Generations.

I: Will be gatana fully playable?

M: At the moment we can see them in the Mosou mode. (Note yokito: I think he is referring to hack n' slash)

Well, jump magazine has not given us a new scan (for the time being), but as second prize they gave us good news:

Jump magazine says the fight between Choji and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path is in Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. This will be a grand production with a giant Demonic Statue and a super-sized Choji.
