Zombie Apocalypse RP

Think you're ready to fight off zombies? If you answered either yes or no, well you've come to the right place. You can show off your awesome zombie survival skills, or if you don't know a thing about zombie survival, here's your chance to learn.
This will be done in a Dungeon's and Dragons sort of way. You will create your own characters and make a story for yourself, but the "mods" of this thread will direct you in the direction of the main story. For example, you will all start out in different places, and while you do your own thing (to an extent) we will push you towards each other, where you can either work together to survive, or maybe even work against each other. You guys are in control.
Here's the set-up:

Spring 2015: Unknowingly to the people, a weapon virus was inserted into a person that made them delusional, unable to think correctly, inhumanly strong, and eventually lost all emotion and thought. After within a day, the person died, just dropped dead with no sign of why. But about an hour after they had died, they "came back to life" but now with a taste and craving for flesh, and they begun immediately attacking and devouring their family. It didn't end here. Those family members rose back up, and entered the street of their local neighborhood. This cycle went on, spreading the virus to person after person. After a week, just about the whole world was infected with this disease. There is a ray of hope though. A few were smart and had either already planned for something like this, or were quick on their feet to survive. They are either hiding from sight with massive amounts of storage, or killing any zombie they see, or just sneaking around, surviving on what they can find without entering conflict. It is now Summer 2015, and you are the last of a few that have survived thus far in this madness. Can you stay that way?

There will be two mods for now that will help direct your stories. We'll of course keep each other in the loop about what will happen, so that there is no confusion. I will also probably be picking them out myself because of the qualities needed for it. If you're good at writing, and can do this, send me a PM saying why you think you will be good for the spot. Also, knowledge of DnD would be nice to have as a quality, since this will be kind of like that.

Background: Before the incident, he had worked at his local McDonald's. It wasn't a great job, but it made some money. He also played guitar with a band at local places to earn more money, barely allowing him to get by in his apartment. He was also going to college as well, so he had to juggle each thing around constantly, and hardly had time to relax. The only people he had around him was his family, and only a couple of friends, which were in his band. He didn't have a girlfriend, never could. He just wasn't good with the ladies or good at being social in general. The only thing he was truly good at, was music. Then he found his calling...
Weapons/items/gear: Wears boots, cargo pants, t-shirt, and hoodie, and carries a backpack. In the backpack, he carries a first-aid kit, laptop, knife, alcohol, non-perishable foods, water, and soda. For weapons, he carries around a katana.
Feat: Marksman.

1. Be respectful of others.

2. Keep the swearing at a minimum. Don't get too carried away.

3. I know this is a zombie thing and you want lots of gore, but you're going to have to restrict yourself. Some people can't handle that sort of thing

4. Just follow these and the forum rules, and you should be fine

5. No God-moding. I know you all can be responsible people and know what is, and what isn't god-moding.

6. Insulting/making fun of another character in character is alright to a certain point, because it adds a bit of realism, but again, don't get out of hand. Also don't use it as a gateway to insult the other person. If I see you getting out of hand with it, I'll give you a warning. Possibly even just not allow it. If I see you continually doing it, you will be kicked out of the game. This is somewhat of a test thing. If people tend not to like it, and actually feel insulted, let me know.

If I see you breaking any of these rules, I will warn you once. If you do it again, you will be "suspended" if you even continue, then you'll just be kicked out altogether.

How this will work:

1. Create a character.

2. One of the mods will place you in a location, and you will start from there. If needed, you may use google maps.

3. You will have some control of the story, as in your actions affect the story. But, us mods still control the main story, we help push you in the direction we want you to go, while at the same time you do your own thing. It's difficult to explain, you can think of us like destiny or fate.

4. You will type as you would in a story. You do not need to use * or / for actions. Type out what you do. You will also use ""s for dialogue (when you speak).

5. You are allowed to ask questions about the environment. For example, if a zombie is coming at you, and you have no weapon in hand, you can ask if there is one laying around. To do this, you will use parentheses.

6. To make an out of game comment, such as "lol" or a question that doesn't have to do with the game, use brackets: []s.

7.Mods will not have to use parentheses, but still use brackets to speak out of context. If you describe a place or an event for a character, and then follow up with an NPC, make them separate paragraphs.

8. As stated above, us mods will control NPCs, events, and even the weather. You will only control your character, no one else.

@Bacon it's like where you create your own character, and you go through a story created by a Game Master, but you have some freedom where you can do your own actions, and somewhat create your story. However, the GM still guides you where he wants you to go, and controls NPCs and that sort of things.
