When did i call him retarded? I said while Gandalf starts yelling to make things explode Dumbledore could get off a death spell. You can't just make the elder wand explode it is too strong. and nobody can have a death spell bounce off them with out some viable cause.

Once again, LotR wizards can level castles. HP wizards can't even take out the barrier without breaking their wands.

like I said Galadriel has destroyed fortresses as large as Hogwartz to the extent that the narration describes nothing being left but a gigantic crater and while she was arguably the most powerful elf left alive she wasn't on completely on Gandalfs level

I'm actually pretty sure their dead even in that catagory..Gandalf does have IIRC some superhuman reaction time..or at least above RL humans

and IIRC Dumbledore at one point appeared as a blur in terms of reaction time during one magical duel

Man I haven't read lotr in forever nor have I had the motivation to do so. But I am pretty sure I remember them capable of some type of projection. But I don't know if they had full blown teleportation which is a decent counter towards full blown destructive capabilities.

oh they had all sorts of projection abilities..but I wasn't sure what the hell that scene represented..if it was teleportation or projection of some kind or just plain old tripping balls

it also helps that Tolkien went kinda batfuck with the powers in the apendices and histories and sil..not to mention the stuff he mentions in his editor notes gets downright OP. Although to be fair I have no idea if the letters have any canon standing - the other stuff does though and its pretty beefed up

@TheJaceX Unless you can provide valid evidence as to why Dumbledore can take on someone that terrifies entire armies and fought with a Balrog for an extreme amount of time, as well as all magical feats I don't need to re-state from IWD, I would stop trying before losing all credibility
