I agree. As much as I would like to see the old stuff, I want to see new anime. The only "new" thing that's been airing for weeks on AS are new Bleach episodes. I need something different!

Hey guys,

Just to let you all know, the new schedule for Toonami won't be revealed until the day that it airs (the 26th). It's being kept under wraps until then, so I'm hoping the lineup will be really good.

I'm glad. A mixture of new and old. That'll keep the nostalgia junkies in place along with grabbing the attention of the newbies and maybe even further appealing to those just awaiting the reruns. They're playing it smart, so I'm happy with it.

The thing is, are they going to do longer series where they can just run a few of them and keep it going for awhile (meaning a constant cost) or will they be contracting new, short anime to just run a couple times through and move on? That's my biggest question at this point.

That's a good question. I think having a variety of long and short series would definitely keep Toonami's programming new and fresh. It also depends on what they can get.

Having the HST isn't a bad idea, just saying. 3 of the top selling manga in the US would do wonders for ratings if they put them on. KHR would also do well. Some of the older stuff like Gundam and maybe DBZ would be good ideas. I say maybe to DBZ because it's been on so many times before that people would very quickly lose interest, but maybe the younger kids could still catch on.

What they should do is do Gundam, but get the ones that haven't been dubbed yet. Such as ZZ, Victory, Turn-A, After War X, and AGE. Also maybe Seed since they completely messed up the order when they aired it originally. And the Unicorn OVAs once they all come out, since those are amazing quality.

Few mech anime interest me and last time I tried to watch any Gundam, it didn't appeal. I just know that a lot of people are fans of the series and there are a lot of Gundams to choose from, so it might be a good choice for Toonami to make.

In Japan that might be true,but perhaps anime is mostly watched online in the United states is because of ratings.

Watching the origanal Gundam wing is the best way to introduce the series to you,but each one is different. They're like Final fantasy, different protagonists and antagonists,but for Gundam there's always giant robots.

There are like 15 different series, but several of the take place in the same universe. I definitely recommend it.
