Itachi's eye is sealed if you didn't know, also ET is not able to regenerate that.

Incase u guys are not seeing the ingenuity of Izanam... here's the explanation of what just happened.
Itachi Records the following scenes to use for the preparation of Izanami

Scene 1. Kabuto takes Sasuke's sword and pierces Itachi (chp 580 pg 14)
Scene 2. Itachi Turns Into Crows
Scene 3. Kabuto gets distracted by the clones and drops the sword
Scene 4. Itachi grabs the sword and Swings at kabuto, Cutting his left horn
Scene 5. Kabuto Charges with chakra hand and clashes with Itachi's sword (581 pg 15) and Itachi yells Izanami. These are only the copies

He continues to fight Kabuto for real from page 585 until he gets cut in half then he activates izanami. When He finally activates Izanami, the scenes he had recorded begun to play. These became the entirety of Kabuto's new world. And it repeats itself when the "tape" is finished.

Itachi's being cut in half was real but the play button for izanami hadn't started yet.
On the last page, Kishi mixed what kabuto was going through (when he yells "UCHIHA ITACHI" and the next panel (real world) when Itachi's eye is sealed and he places his hand on Kabuto so dont get confused.

Izanami is a Deja Vu jutsu. Make you experience the same thing over and over again...

^ hmm...now that u've mentioned it's a deja vu jutsu, u give me an idea...u know how u notice deja vu only after it's happened? u can't anticipate it. It happens and it triggers ur memory but still u remain unsure about the vividness of it. If that's the case kabuto doesn't know he's about to repeat an act until after he'd done it...then it triggers...meaning any action he takes, he things he's taking it for the first time...

No awareness means no mental stress from repetitions...
It could go on forever and yet Kabuto may never actually "decide"!

I notice Deja Vu while I am experiencing it, It seems that I can predict what's going to happen, but only after the effect is over, I realise that it was just a deja vu.
Kabuto thinks he's doing the action for the first time, but he knows that he had seen it before, that's why he said that the same trick wouldn't work om him twice, but after Itachi cut his horn he realised that it had happened already.
Pretty sweet jutsu, huh?

So far, it is sealed.

Edo Tensei regenerates only injuries, his Sharingan is sealed after using Izanagi, so IMO it cannot be brought back.
You get it?

Sharingan gets sealed.
Eye gets shut.

That's why his eye is totally black, because it is blind and the Sharingan is sealed, but he can open his eye cuz of ET
