Neji pretty much owns this fight the only hope Kankuro has is to try and poison Neji and wait it out like he did to Shino but I doubt that will work. Here's why Neji especially post TS wins this.

Kankuro's fighting style is based on stealth and deception yet there is absolutely nowhere he can hide that Neji can't see.

Kankuro needs his chakra strings to be connected to multiple locations of the puppets but Neji can sever the strings as easy as Shino did.

Neji has virtually no blind spots, and I doubt Kankuro could out the one area open for attack in the midst of battle especially since he has no summons like Kidomaru or spaces to hide in.

Neji's rotation stops any projectiles Kankuro can launch.

Post TS Neji also has mid range techniques now such as air palm.

Even if Kankuro where to pull of a brilliant strategy and capture Neji in the chest of Black Ant he still wouldn't be able to finish the combo because Neji would escape with the same move he used on the Zetsu that tried to absorb him...Gentle Fist Body Blow.

Well for PTS Kabuto I actually think Neji could win. From what I've seen Kabuto only has close range techniques and if he gets within Neji's range he gets hit with a combo that make all of his techniques useless, although he would be able to regenerate his internal organs so he definitely wouldn't die.

I'd say it comes down to whether or not Neji would be able to combat Kabuto's other abilities, for example, we know he can hide underground like Kakashi but I'm sure Neji's learned to watch his feet from his last encounter with Naruto and of course there's the Byakugan. Kabuto also has genjutsu but we don't know to what degree he's proficient at it, if it's only good enough to take out genin, fodder, and civilian then it definitely won't work on Neji who's intelligent, has the Byakugan, and has precise chakra control which is necessary for breaking a genjutsu.

It also depends on the situation, for example Kabuto was able to outsmart Kakashi with kinjutsu thanks to the nearby corpses. Neji is actually pretty well-equipped for taking Kabuto down it would just be a hard battle for him.

All I've seen so far for the Kabuto supporters is transitive logic. A>B and B>C doesn't mean A>C in the Narutoverse. Also when Oro said Kabuto was on Kakashi's level I think we should look at that statement more carefully. I'm not sure Oro meant they were equal as combatants but more like as shinobi. Both have mastery over high level techniques although Kabuto's are medical ninjutsu whereas Kakashi's are attack ninjutsu and both are very intelligent and knowledgeable of espionage, based on the last few chapters Kabuto was probably the best in that area out of the entire Narutoverse. And Kabuto was also a gifted ninja all around showing skill with kinjutsu and genjutsu as I mentioned earlier along with his taijutsu and ninjutsu. In that regard Kabuto was on Kakashi's level but I still don't think he would've been able to beat Kakashi in a normal 1 on 1 battle especially after we saw him get pwned by Naruto.

Agreed PTS Kabuto is on no comparisOn to Kakashi when it comes to speed and power.
I take Neji for this because TS Neji is stronger then Naruto before he learns Rasenshuriken. (An assumption based on techniques and shinobi rank). Kabuto can't get closed and is useless far away.

Neji takes this easily.

By underestimating Tsunade, you underestimate Kabuto. Shizune was not keeping up with Kabuto. She ganged on him with Tsunade and even after firing senbon at him, he managed to block them >WITH HIS HEADBAND<.

Tsunade was keeping up with Orochimaru, even outspeeding him in some cases. That automatically puts Kabuto well above PTS Naruto, since Orochimaru kept up with Naruto's TB mode in Shippuden.

Not to mention, even if Neji somehow manages to shut down some of Kabuto's chakra points, that's not going to stop him. He had his entire nervous system scrambled and figured out how to work it in a few seconds.

The recent chapter also shows him blitzing Orochimaru and using his Scalpel jutsu to demolish his stomach. That's a sure killshot against someone like Neji who isn't going to be able to put up Rotation in time if it caught Orochimaru by surprise.

There is no way Kabuto is going to lose to Neji when he made Tsunade look like a joke. Sorry, Neji does not have enough TS feats to consider him Elite Jonin yet.


ALSO to the people who keep saying Naruto defeated Kabuto: What are you talking about? Naruto was going to die before Tsunade healed him, Kabuto struck him in the heart. Naruto hit him with the Rasengan because Naruto let himself be stabbed(As well, kabuto had no knowledge of the Jutsu that Naruto managed to master in a week somehow). And even when hit point blank with a Rasengan, he was still standing.


To add further to my point, Kabuto easily took out a room full of Anbu protecting Sasuke, and even outwitted Kakashi. And even Jiraiya said he was on Kakashi's level, not like some fodder character said it.




And to finalize my point, Neji was beaten by a cheap form of headhunter jutsu, which Kabuto is a master of, enough to get Tsunade with the attack.

Just wanna point out that Neji had his Byakugan turned off which allowed Naruto to defeat him. And unlike the time Kabuto fixed his nervous system, the chakra he needs to fix it will be blocked.

One more thing, it's implied that Oro let him strike him.

Yeah but Neji won't touch him. Kabuto can wear out Neji's low chakra supply (See Vs. Naruto, Vs. Kimmimaro, Vs. Zetsus) the same way he did with Tsunade when she was crater punching them for a mile. Then his Byakugan will be off anyway.

Why is it always assumed that Neji has a low amount of chakra? It's not like he can only do like 2-3 rotations and that's it, in fact he has enough chakra to spam rotation (See VS Neji clone), has enough energy to use a full Hakke, use up physical energy for major Taijutsu, and still have enough chakra as a Genin to use Kaiten, and wasn't tired at all at the end. (see VS Naruto)

Hinata appearently has more chakra than him since he could only last so long with his eyes. Also as for the Neji clone. His clone never ran out of stamina so we don't know how many Neji managed to do.

Well Neji was fighting much longer than she was and he wasn't taking a break. And still, he wasn't tired yet after all those rotations.

PTS Kabuto's only real weakness is his lack of offensive jutsu, Tsunade stated he was sharper than she was in her prime, Jiraiya stated he'd be able to fight on level with Kakashi if he had to, he has his healing abilities and being a medic is highly skilled in avoiding attacks.

Naruto only really hit him with Rasengan because he wasn't fighting seriously because he knew Naruto's limits (besides rasengan)

Kabuto wins this.He can come from the ground to neji and neji can't look where he is because he is SPINNING at crazy speed so he cannot look to the ground.

I think Jinfinity already said it, I'm not sure, but Kabuto's attacks are basically close ranged. He won't be able to get past Neji's rotation, or he won't be able to react to 64 palms by the time he's in that close. Otherwise, Neji should have no problem.

But.

I don't think Neji's reactions have really improved(?) since PTS Neji. It's possible that if Kabuto gets in close enough he could slash his Achilles Tendons and stab him to death or something like that.
