yeah early Naruto, as in the Zabuza arc was pretty sick. nowadays it might as well not even be the same manga anymore and sure there is many relatively obscure manga that are pretty amazing, but don't take anything away from Dragon Ball

Dragon ball Z SUCKS!!!!!

Its just a bunch of annoying people YELLING. The ailens do not get much thought into their phisology. The plot is lame. And its just action. The characters have no depth. People get random power ups at random times

read the manga, it is devoid of such yelling. the aliens in dragon ball are quite diverse (most are generally humanoid, but then again its a fighting/martial arts manga). the plot did indeed become pretty lame in the buu saga, and most fans and even toriyama himself (who only continued due to being asked) agree that dragon ball should have ended at the end of the cell games. well its an action manga, and still there is underlying messages in the manga that go beyond just action. the characters have plenty of depth, for what they are intended to be that is. random power ups? well some do, but, if you dont like that why are you reading Naruto, and manga with far, far worse powerups? not that the power ups of Dragon Ball characters are subpar...but Naruto powerups pretty much suck, especially as of late

Kishi was smoking with the powerups. The back story is ninja's how does a continental creator come into play? Truth be told Sasuke's evolution should have been the archetype of the story. His is actually closest to what a fantasy ninja should be. On that note the story should have had way more martial arts than what has been shown. Db is still just as bad speed lines and blast galore after the 23rd.

At least naruto goes more in depth of other non important character

I would HATE to be in dragonballzverse and not be a Sayien. If you are not a Sayien than you lose most battles. You barely get a backstory. Overall your just not important at all. The endings r predictable. Everyone knows that a Sayien will finish off the bad guy.

Plus why would a human risk the human race for a robotic girl he barely talks to?
The story is outrageous and so unrealistic. Nobody I the right mine would do that!

It's the writers choice to continue or stop. A true writer would know when to stop.

Again gai randomly hiradora-ing in base. Kakashi still not being dead from kamui after having used it over 9000 times. Nobody important in naruto works hard. They cheat with either Uchiha eyes, Senju cells, and bijuu/juubi chakra or at worst a combo of all 3.

Dbz has some 2 here and there. Narutos are too obvious. I mean ok we get people gave you mean stares stop showing that damn flashback. Ok we get it world peace. Ok we get your emo. Early naruto had some nice ones but shippuuden meh.

And about the plot being stupid:

Naruto does yell (not as much ) and yelling does not make him strong. He does not have to yell like goku does when he attacks. And at leat he tells inspirational stuff

Kishi went in depth and introduced more characters than in dragonballzverse. If your not a Sayien than you don't get much time.

Naruto is just now in sync with kurama so that is not a random power up. We all knew he would be Arron once he could access it. It was not random like goku going super Sayien.

Ok seriously this is , its called Fiction and in case you haven't noticed its manga, so of course its full of "outrageous and unrealistic" material.
Heck might as well complain about movies.
Anyway, if you want realism in stories then you might be better off watching Soap Operas.

But complaining about an imaginative work where realism is low since chapter 1 is simply idiotic.
And a fictionals works quality doesn't depend on realism but anyway, if you got a problem with it, write your own stories instead of complaining about authors who do this for profession if you have such a problem.

Waging war on the world because your potential girlfriend died isnt normal. Wanting to destroy the village which your brother died protecting cause you killed your own brother isnt normal. Not using nin and taijustsu for no reason (gai) is not normal. Trying to bring back your boyfriend Best friend after he tried to kill you 3 or more times isnt normal.

Even Eighteen (you know why I mentioned her) underwent radical changes till the end of GT (yes, I'm not of those who discard it), turning out to be a loving wife and mom, who had to make a hard decision regarding her mad brother.
The day Sakura does a similar choice (for real; she tried it once, but the choice wasn't between which dear person to help, rather "to -kun or to kill, that's the question"; just my opinion), I'll change my opinion on her.

To be honest, tell me ONE difference between Krillin's "love-from-first-sight" (as weird as it is) and same one's of Sakura-to-Sasuke and Naruto-to-Sakura, I mean BEFORE they had a chance to interact more on the plot.
ALL three examples are simple "hormonal" crushes (or "fame"/popularity/acknowledgement attempts, which is even worse relationship-wise).

I have come to realize this entire thread is pointless. For one nobody reads either story for the main plot. They like the basic ideal of leveling up. Which is what most shounen are about.
