Remember that episode in the original Naruto when Ino had been mean to Chouji, then Shikamaru comforted him?

He had a crush on her, I think. There's been a growing tension throughout the series since then over Ino realizing she was a dumb and shallow kid, having since come to love and respect Chouji quite a bit. It'd fit with the theme of all the Naruto characters growing up.

Choji and ino or shikamaru and ino would be weird considering they all have a brother sister vibe towards each other and anything more than a sibling relationship would ruin there team stability and to be honest would be a little uncomfortable for the guy who isnt dating ino.
