Yes!! Another "how to use the rep system thread" because many STILL DON'T GET IT!!!

~Many people now are giving rep just so their friends can rep up. Yes that is nice, but please pick a GOOD POST to rep them up in!!!

~Also the rep system isn't a "game".

~Many have gotten bad rep saying "because it's fun to give bad rep".

~I've seen someone have a "contest" with another to see how low they can have their rep.

ALSO THINK ABOUT THIS:
Want to keep giving good rep to someone who doesn't deserve it?

Spread the rep to GOOD posts, and to who deserves it. Don't waste it just to be friendly or try to gain more.

One more thing.

Give rep to posts that actually help or inform you.

Don't rep others just because you pity them or you wanna flow with the IN crowd and give rep to someone you don't even know just because they have a high post count and is popular.

This is so people don't give out rep like candy, i have lots of rep for that and even though it's nice, i still would have liked to earn it, and so i am trying to spread awareness.

Though also I have good rep from Aurega and Nick too about the good posts i have made., so it balances i suppose

What do you mean "You want to earn it" you earn rep by being a nice person and a nice friend, don't say stuff like, I need to earn rep, you earn it by being nice and being a kinda generous person to people.

Yes rep is awesome, but needs to be used awesomely as well

Hence the saying(its not really a saying) I made

"Spread rep, but waste it not"

I mean you earn it by putting up good and informative posts, yes being nice is good but you need to thik about it:

Someone who is your friend can have 6 rep power, so he can take away 6 points or add on

If he justs gives it randomly out, he can give someone really bad rep for nothing

Easy:

Give good rep to a post that was informative, or helped you, or that you agreed with.

Give bad rep to a post that was using bad language, was very random and off-topic, or that you didn't think was a good thing to post.
