Everything seen there can be done in the game. Keep in mind all of that is the basic stuff, Gmod is virtually limitless due to its open modding scene supporting most types of code.
There's a site dedicated to just the mods even, and there's plenty more to be found elsewhere.

I haven't really played it long enough to get to know some of features on the current version.
My first few hours was doing random stuff to see something cool to happen. But you guys will help me along i guess.

That and more. Most mods are converting to svn for bigger files and easy updating. You'll need half life 2 and Counter Strike Source for their textures. Any game u have that half life source code will be useable.
