The swordsman are all so unique, each sword offers total different variety which is why I want them in so bad. Even Mangetsu who doesn't have a sword has so much potential with water variation jutsu's. Fuguki is the only one who would be hard to make a moveset, but at least we know he shoots projectiles with his hair like jiraya, give him a couple water jutsu's and he's done.

And I can't believe that troll had been posing as that abound guy with no education.

Personally even though it's looking unlikely, I will remain optimistic.

I think the G&S bros have a much better chance since they were in that part of the trailer that has the edo tensei such as the edo akatsuki and the edo kages and hanzo. If the swordsman are not all playable I think some of the support only chars from generations could fill those slots. Also for the record the swordsman seem to be popular and have grown on me a bit ....I would love mangetsu and ringo playable but not all 6. I do think they should cram them into one slot rather than not be playable at all however because they are different and unique.

I'd also love Jinpachi with the explosive swords and Jinin is cool with that hammer thing he uses. And Kushimaru is one of the best swordsman imo, his needle and thread swordsmanship is so awesome.

Kushimaru is awesome. Can you imagine crucifine people and then throwing your swords threw there chest or using you wires to cut the enemy like yura of the demon hair.

I was hoping for the more non-central Edo characters to be made playable over them, for example Pakura, Gari and Toroi. But all there parts in the anime have come and gone without any signs of being included in the game at all.

I know their respective roles weren't big but it would bring more diversity than the 7 swordsmen. Although I should be happy if we even get them.


Can everyone ignore him or add him to your ignore list? I wouldn't want another one of these threads locked.

Oooh thats right ...the needle style sword I admit that would be fun to use him as well....I really hope they appear in the vs mode somehow like I said even if they are not all playable they should at least cram them in the slots. If I had to choose I would choose that than none at all.

I would really like pakura over the swordsman but if I had to pick one I wanted to play as it would be kushimaru but he should be made into duelist. I don't think they will be playable tho cus everything we seen of them with the trailer and cards they are all using only one jutsu. Could still leave room for pakura and others tho which is cool

I agree I would really like to play as the needle user even more so than ringo because of the unique style he has ...I really liked the filler with him in it. I think I would prefer him even over mangetsu...but as you said I have a hard time imagining they are playable with what we have seen so far ....either way I cant wait to see more char reveals. I thought at this point I would only be interested waiting to see ..
