Yes, just like Ashen said but actually, it didn't break the username, the link for the gif broke. I suppose it got deleted where is was being hosted.

gifs can break on some browsers, esp. when one disables animated gifs or more generally, images. IE has always been the odd ball of the browsers and I'm not surprised it does not work as intended even when gifs/images are enabled. Usually, it's only IE with those kinds of problems. Honestly, if they don't work for some IE users then they really aren't missing much anyways.

As for bringing sparkles back, not many people are on that boat. Otherwise, if it was something beneficial (not decorative) I'm sure it'll be reconsidered.

I just remember people complaining about something breaking. I also remembered the time Maik used it in one of his titles and whatever link he used broke and lagged the forum. >.>

Anyways from the way you put it it doesn't sound like it would destroy the average IE users forum experience by having it. If the only issue is that it won't display for them, then that's a relatively minor problem. We could store the sparkle.gif locally which should keep the link from breaking like last time and it's a fairly quick thing to implement.

Of course, if we were limiting this to an MotM user it's up to them whether they want to use it or not, and The Kazekage doesn't seem to want it. Which means for the next month at least, this entire conversation is pretty much moot.
