How would Shinobi deal with a Giant Robot?

How well do you think a large group of experienced Shinobi would handle being attacked by a giant mecha? (e.g Mobile Suits or Mobile Armors from the Gundam franchise) would they survive? would it be hopeless?

In My Opinion, a mecha has more of a chance of winning because of all-around strengh and firepower. Then again, most mechas I know of don't have really special powers like ninjitsu, and wouldn't be able to keep an eye on such a small target.
