Since this is a rap music discussion, I decided to post this here, guessing that Lupe Fiasco can be considered rap.
Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Part 1 comes out on the 25th. Laser's wasn't very good, but this seems like a return to form.

... Lupe Fiasco is hip-hop. What, did you think that he was a country artist?

Any who, Lupe hated LASERS, or what it had turned out to be. Of course, the blame goes to Atlantic Records, whom had pressured Lupe to focusing more on creating radio hits rather than the usual Little Weapon or Hip-Hop Saved My Life style of songs.

Yeah, Lasers was practically created by the label. There were still good songs, but overall it isn't as good as The Cool nor Food & Liquor. Food & Liquor 2 seems to be a return of form to me, and might be his best album yet.

Hip-Hop is 2Chainz and Kendrick Lamar, it's Tupac and Big L, it's Kanye West and NWA, it's JAY-Z and Wu-Tang. In other words, it's simultaneously ignorant and introspective.

My favorite song on LASERS was, hands down, All Black Everything.

Hope so. The double disc does bring some doubt to me tho.

wut no, I was meaning because hip-hop does not say rap, I used to be more familiar with this genre terms, but I listen to mostly not hip-hop/rap. If you were trying to say I was ignorant/introspective. I'm confused.

I still think it'll be great, especially from the tracks that have been released.

Anyways, Jay-z is my favorite rapper. He's got flow and I really like his beats. Kid Cudi is second. Followed by Tyler The Creator. Then everyone except Pusha T in Good Music. Then most other people, followed by Pusha T and Lil Wayne.

I just heard fl:2 I have mixed feelings. Pusha t is actually my favorite on good music. His gangsterness is genuine and its not some fake gimmick he created like most rappers. It also hypes me up. Exodus was nasty.

I hate both tbh.

F&L 2 is good. Better than Lasers by far, but not as good as his first 2 albums. The album has some unnecessary songs so it gets annoying towards the middle but it ends with a fitting song. The beats are great and I think he constructed it beautifully.

F & L 2 is pretty great, but yeah not as good as the first or The Cool. He still has his lyrical genius there most of the time, though yeah there are a few unneeded songs, but where they are they fit.

In other news, basically all things Lupe will release after Lasers will be better than it.

As I thought, the greatest disadvantage that F&L 2 had, when compared to F&L and The Cool, was a tying theme. A universal motif. Some of the songs didn't really have much to do with one another.

I'd say Lupe's greatest improvement over his last albums is his taste in beats.
