A is an egotistical brute with no outstanding leadership features. He rarely has a strategy, and his abilities are limited to physical punches, as he has no Ninjutsu.

Onoki easily is the most experienced in battle, politics, and in leadership. In comparison, A has the second oldest reign among current kages, Onoki the first, and the difference in experience and battle IQ between him and Onoki is blatantly obvious.

Onoki is truly on another level compared to the others. Mei and Gaara are too young I can't take them serious, Tsunade acts on impulse and has no outstanding features, and A is a brute who allowed the last two Jinchuriki to walk into the hands of Tobi. Question: Would Onoki allow this? Doubtful.

At this rate the title of Kage only goes to someone who possesses astronomical power, without needing any other qualities to obtain the job, which arguably only Tsunade and Onoki have.

Is onoki stronger than A yes but

A has the best control of the bijuu and cares about them

A was elected leader of the war
A has no akaksi members from his village while onoki has one of the akaski members from the village. (Not to mention onoki tought deidara)

A is just really passionate and not afaraid to take charge and he never forsake himself unlike onoki

Plus there is much more peace in the cloud than any other village. Cloud is overrall the best village anyhow

He is the most important Kage as of right now. Without him, in several instances, all 5 kages would be dead.

He not only equals majority of the attributes of the other kages, he also has the ability to enhance their abilities even further.

He was elected because there really was no other candidate. Onoki is clearly a more versatile ninja in comparison to the other Kages. His ninjutsu is on another level.
However, A is clearly the strongest blitzing ninja in the manga, physically he is the most dominant being I've seen in action, therefore making him one of the hardest opponents to kill.

onoki could not have done any better wint the killer B and naruto situation.
Also A was not trying to kill naruto he was testing his strength cuz if naruto could not pass A there was no hope of him winning the war.

A was elected the leader because he was the best at protecting his people which is the kages job.

I prefer onoki but A has the cleanest record. so A is the best at being a Kage

Bottom line being A rarely ever listens to anyone, and those who disagree with him are automatically considered enemies, even his own brother. He has a short temper and no special strategy skills, making him probably the worst person to be leading the alliance personality wise. Do you think she would accept it? Or exclude the leaf from the alliance and wage war against the Cloud? We all know the answer to that. But why should A care?

A was elected for the reasons I already stated above. It had nothing to do with his ability to protect the people, all 5 kages have shown that potential, especially Onoki and Gaara. A did little to nothing in the war, while Onoki and Gaara were dropping zombie after zombie. Even if A had fought, his style would not be nearly as useful in a war of this type compared to Gaara and Onoki. Punching invincible zombies 1 on 1 does not nearly equate to the effect a village sized sand wave Gaara possesess and obliteration/defensive Jutsu Onoki possesses. A would have been essentially useless in this war. The only thing he can successfully defend in a war of this magnitude is himself.

Gaara has a sparkly clean record as Kazekage, and Tsunade has done nothing wrong in her reign. "When did you all become so forsaken"- Gaara. A was selected because his village was the only one with no current or previous members in the Akatsuki. Onoki was the obvious candidate outside of Danzo, but he had previously worked with the Akatsuki to further his village's ambitions, so he was disqualified, and A was elected.

There is a no more decorated Kage than Onoki now living, his experience, battle capabilities and self control are a perfect fit for what an old-school village leader like Sarutobi Hiruzen should be. He is an administrator, an experienced politician, a battle-hardened genius, and a leader. Sorry, A is not on his level as far as what skills a Kage should possess. Tsunade is much closer.

A came at naruto with the intent for killing him because that was the only way to test his true strenght if naruto could not dodge his attack like his father naruto should just give up right there. if naruto could not doge A's attack then there was no way he could win this war.

A listens not always but sometimes he has a good reason. How would you feel if an emeime ninja killed your brother and was a threat to your villlage. I guess you would be calm and not send out a warrant for his arrest. A is just really emotional. His strateiges are better than Tsunades. Tsunade is getting slopppy wiht her taijutusu and A is still holding up.

A us the best at protecting his pppl no akaski came from this village and the cloud did not participate in the last war. Plus he has the best control of the bijuu. A like Tsunade were leading the war they wer not on the battlefiled but he had other responsiblities. A would be useful on the battlefield sppedbilitzing enemies and quickly saving those in need.

Garra was the youngest kage he was defeated by the akaski and didnt even know there were secrets ppl didint even tell him. Plus not everyone like him in his own village. Also the sand is one of the weakest nations. So garra is not as perfect as you think.

agree with you I LOVE ONONKI but he did some bad things like comprimising with akaski and he has no control of his BIJUU

What do you mean? He could have easily captured them without attempting to kill Naruto. He blitzed him with full strength and speed, instead of fighting to capture him, he fought to kill him in a single shot. It's common sense a blitz of that speed is easy to dodge when you simply have to move a few meters to the side and have near equal speed. He's lucky Naruto reacted, or Tsunade would have went off, and the alliance would have been void.

Best at protecting his people? Did you not read my post? He is a 1 on 1 power brute, how does he protect anyone? Especially in a war against undead zombies. This man is a killer, his ability protects only himself as long as his opponent is alive. Gaara and Onoki have Jutsu and power that extends to protect others, and ultimately effect a larger number of opponents at once.

Gaara was defeated by Deidara, easily one of the most experienced and powerful Akatsuki members. Gaara also defeated several S-class undead zombies, including his own father, and protected an entire shinobi unit from those same ninja.

Why are we talking about villages? This thread is about evaluating the best Kage at this point overall.

1. Gaara and Onoki are much more useful in protecting people, as shown in the alliance war.
2. Onoki has better experience, political prowess, leadership skills and is just as powerful on the battlefield.
3. A has multiple personality flaws, as stated in my original post.

A did a goood thing by reacting the way he did. Nobody got hurt to his reaction. If he didnt there would be no kage summit meeting and without that there would be no Allied Shnobi Force. So thanks to A's reaction and what he did it actually helped. And besides Naruto reacted to his masters death emotionally was he out of line. Sorry A has Emotions.

Yes A is the best protecting his ppl. Look at the cloud village it is the best and no akaski came from there villlage and they dont fight iin many wars. So A does keep his ppl safe. A knows his abiliteis and Knows others could do better than him in the war. If A was in the fight he could use his speed to save someone or delfect an enemy attack or push and enemy out of the way.
