While posting in some of the threads out there, and thinking of what has been discussed even after this last chapter, i've kind of had an odd thought of just where Tobi came from, and how we got to the point of Tobi to start with.

So we started with Danzo, the original person that Orochimaru experimented on. We saw the combination of DNA from both senju and uchiha. Results were fantastic, but not what he was looking for. We know prior to Danzo that he messed with people like Yamato of course.

Moving forward, we have Madara..we have this idea that Madara was also an experiment to try and see if infusing Senju DNA into a Uchiha would have effect. Now we know he couldn't go simply to those who lived in the village in good standing, so of course we have Madara, who is the only readily available Uchiha with no ties, and wouldn't talk. Madara is proof that its possible, however overtaking Madara Uchiha who's now infused with Senju DNA would be a trying task.

Now we have Tobi..Tobi is probably the second Zestu made, a body that was infused with what DNA he had collected from Madara Uchiha. The idea is that he would make a body that he could then take, this would have the power of the Uchiha and Senju. It would then make sense as to why he was calling himself Madara in the first place as well.

I actually love this theory. An experiment that became to strong to control and obsessed with becoming what he was made after.

Does anyone think that maybe Orochimaru could have came up with a way to get the rinnegan if he ever had the Uchiaha's eyes?
Maybe that could have been something in the scroll that suigetsu found?!

personally i go in for Madara experimenting creating Tobi and Zetsu. he had both dna's longer. Oro than comes along experimenting with the first's cells creating Yamato. he than enters Akatsuki. while there he finds out about the body shifting jutsu in exchange for helping Madara/ Tobi. he even finds out about the truth behind Tobi and most likely steals research info. with that he creates Danzou's arm as a prototype. this was most likely why Akatsuki hunted Oro not just because he left them.

There is one thing i still don't get. Who did get the Madara body, Orochimaru or Kabuto?? And why didn't Tobi use the eyes of Madara but used the eyes of pain.

Hmm, this theory sounds plausible. An experiment that went great but developed a mind on it's own and became obsessed with something and rebelling against its creator... Sounds nice, sounds like Fullmeal Alchemist; Hohenheim going against 'Father' (his creator)

Thanks I am glad you all like it. I had thought about it, and the fact that most of us believe that Tobi is really something messed up. I think that Orochimaru wanted a body that was basically the SoSP so that he could attain his goal of learning all jutsu, which was said to originate from the SoSP.

Obviously building your own as opposed to body jumping would have its advantages, and as we see with Tobi being sort of a meta-human, he probably would not be stuck with the limitations of a human body.

Also this would explain how even Kisame thought Tobi was Madara. How? well we saw just how the clone that Zetsu used could copy exactly the looks of what he was after, one could argue that Tobi simply did the same thing with Madara's appearance, and having being built with Madara's DNA, it would then follow that people would believe that it was actually him.

Finally, this may address the line that stated "I am merely a shell of my former self" meaning that he knows he is not fully Madara or Hashirama (which btw, having Senju DNA, one could then draw that was where he was able to perform the S&T jutsu from the 2nd). Being a shell of ones self, means their purpose is incomplete and they are empty without it. His purpose was to be Orochimaru, but as we are suggesting, something happend.
