How young should children start learning about sex? When should they be educated about what it is, what it means, and how to do it safely? Who should be responsible for teaching them?

I learned about puberty in 5th and Reproductive system in 7th.

Honestly, kids deserve to know at any age. No use in hiding it because they most likely will have sex.

I learned when I was 4, why they decided then I don't know. However I was armed to the teeth with knowledge by the time I hit puberty. Of course I also had those cool parents they don't preach about sex being the devil incarnate.

Children should learn before they enter puberty, once they hit that they will find out one way or another, you can either control how or not.

I learned in 9th grade(~14ish),but nowadays you can learn just by watching television.

I didn't learn about until I was 16 during my first year of high school. One of my friend told me that some schools in our area are teaching it to 4 years old kids. Which is WAY TOO EARLY for them to learn about sex.

I learned about it in 4th-5th grade. As long as you don't bring up anything too scarring or actually make them have sex, I would say 3rd-5th grade is a good age. Bringing it up before puberty would also be good, as they wouldn't really feel inclined to have sex, therefore once they do hit puberty they will still most likely have those beliefs(Less STD's and Teen Pregnancy).
