Can they start off with their own weapon? Or should we make them fight with their fist until they make enough money to get a weapon? Maybe start them off with a sword and a few helpful items?

This is my problem. With Maik's shop system I'm thinking it'd make sense to have them need to buy a weapon from the start. I'm neutral about this.

Can I help you on this? I have a lot of ideas, especially in terms of fights as in...

Pirates can fight Pirates and Marines at any stakes, while Marines can fight Pirates all out, while MvM would be a friendly duel. Beating Marines raises your bounty and beating pirates raises your rank. There could also be subsections of WG agents like CP9 or Shichibukai.

I'm just throwing stuff out there.

Pirates don't have Ranks. There are positions on crew ships you can fulfill. However if you want to be like Whitebeard, you can have Divisions and whatnot I guess.

The fighting system I can get back to you all on that. CP9 eh? A little specialist group huh?

Maik actually got started on this,but I was thinking we could have optional gear for rp purposes. Like if you were a pirate trying to break into a mansion to get a map. You could be sneaky and scale the wall with a hook and rope, or bust in their via flashy diversion.

Oh I see, I misread. Raising your rank would be dependent on the higher ups in the Marines I believe. I guess capturing Pirates would be a factor in that. Of course, a Pirate hurting a Marine would raise their threat levels and Marine's wanting of you dead or alive thus increasing their bounty.

Well the problem falls under persistent items and situational. I'm thinking people can rp accessories,but they can earn signature weapons that they carry everywhere.

Maybe we should make items someone buys perma. They can't carry everything on them personally of course, but they can carry them on their ships or something.

It all seems fine with me, we would still be running the actual 1 on 1 fights with Freeverse as far as I can tell.

Well I know I'm not a genius, but I do have my two cents. I was thinking it would work well if we combine the Roleplay and Freeverse aspects into a Mega-Roleplay. The RP'ers could still roam freely, and there would be a plot(Different goals for each individual crew, or character). All of these goals would be intertwined with eachother, no matter what they were.

This was just a few thoughts of mine.

Well you can't really mix a ruled RP with a free Freeverse imo. They would conflict and there would be confusion on what is allowed and what is not.

Unless by roam freely you mean getting around? Hm I'm sure you can get around as much as you want if you have a ship!

I'm really hoping to separate them both; I'll ask Maikeru about it.
