First off NICE. To me about the whole Nagato not being able to use Izanagi idea. I think it's because he is an Uzumaki (One of the sage's son's earned his body and life force and the other his eyes and power). I think that the sharingan was created by the sage using the Juubi (in Ep: 205 you see the Juubi's eye and it's basically a super sharingan (don't know how else to explain it)) and I think that the sharingan only got soo much of the Rinnegan's true power, because he felt the Rinnegan was too much power for either of his son's. Now Madara states that he got the rinnegan close time before his death Ch: 560 (I think after his fight with Hashirama, where he absorbed some of his DNA) so not enough time to be fully aware and make things happen with they eyes. I feel that, that's where Tobi comes in; Madara gives Tobi the Rinnegan and they come up with the plan to bring Madara back later (One part of; Project:Tsuki No Me). That's where Nagato comes into the picture, I don't feel it's a coincidence that he was an Uzumaki (they are descendants of the Sage), Tobi chose him and gave him the eyes as he said he had to Konan Ch:509(which could be a lie) all for Nagato to use: Geddo Rinne Tensei No Jutsu to bring Madara back. Basically Nagato was a scapegoat that Tobi used, but in the end he didn't do what was planned. I feel like you need to have Uzumaki (Senju) DNA to have the Rinnegan, I think that that's what's waiting for Naruto down the line. Only reason Madara got it, is because of the fight with Hashirama.
