I could understand Orochimaru vs Voldemort depending on the circumstances:
Avada Kedavra, read minds, can mentally casting spells.

But Dr. Strange? The classic one? No not at all.

Horocruxes are not instant regeneration either.

Strange can kill Voldemort many times over before voldemort performs the first spell. Strange is an interesting chracter pretty much powerful enough to take on anyone in Marvel earth. Though he is often shelfed.

I believe it was with Penance Stare but I am not sure if that was against Classic Strange or the Current Strange when he was no longer Sorceror Supreme.

one of these characters engaged a flaming demi god monster in a battle that had them both fall several miles at terminal velocity then engage in a multi day long fighting retreat that went from miles under the ground to a mountain top..in a battle that created a storm that could be seen for miles...and ended with a piece of a mountain top being shattered

the one who did this was a weaker version of Gandalf

edit seeing as classic Strange and PC era Kent Nelson Dr Fate were dead even feat wise...and Kent Nelson was so superior to Pc Superman he had him gaping in utter awe of his power and openly conceding Nelson could kill him with a gesture..and that he made the entire PC JSA completely useless tells you..all you need to know

It's a shame Peter Jackson downplayed everyones abilities so much in the movies. Like Aragorn and Faramir/Boromir were Numenoreans, so they should have been close to superhuman and even have a bit of magic affinity if I recall.

I know they had the long lifespan. I recall Aragorn being in his 70s in the books but still appearing to be in his 20's/30's.

they weren't fully Numenorians only partially though Aragorn through the line of Elros has Elf blood AND maiar blood..the guy was basically distantly related to one of Sauron and Gandalfs peers

if you want I can post a list of their capabilities if you'd like..including Numenorians military capabilities as well..I'd think as a soldier you might find that part interesting

IIRC there's a passage where their arrows seem to be..as fast or faster then a modern 50 cal and pack about as much of a punch..and some other really insane stuff..including the equivalent of primitive SAT com

early forties late thirties..actually he did live to be 250 or so Faramir about 120

edit TBC you heard about the possible wheel of time film franchise? I sincerely hope they don't gimp the movies as badly as they did with LOTR

According to one of my history professors, military history is not often taught in universities or colleges in United States.
