Sephiroth kills herself for being a crappy villain. Also, she can't blow up Jupiter. The supernova thing is just a fancy illusion.

From what I've heard about Lightning, she stands no chance against Sephiroth. The dude is a casual building slicer before he gets the Black Materia and then he is capable of a life wipe with Meteor. Lightning is at best a building buster if even that.

Nope.
Meteor just gravely injures the Planet thus causes the Lifestream to heal the Scar left behind while Sephiroth puts himself at the center, absorbing the energy of Mako to become a God.
Without a lifestream the Planet can't exist and would crumble away.

Even IF Sephy-chan would be a Planet destroyer:
I note that Meteor took days for the impact.
When Tifa and Barrett were imprisoned by Rufus (And Tifa asleep for days), Barrett noted that Meteor will fall in 7 days.
So Meteor takes more than a week to collide when adding in the Time Tifa was asleep.

Super Nova?
Not even going into that as there will be no satisfaction for either side.

Insofar as it's possible to tell the difference between seriousness and joking on the internet, in this place it's impossible to tell the difference because 90% of the people who post here are idiots and it's entirely possible that they would actually believe it.

That said, I really doubt you were joking. More probably you're just trying to pass it off as a joke because you don't want to admit to ever having thought something so idiotic as Sephiroth being a planet buster.
