the first person to awaken the mangekyo sharingan. He and the first Hokage battled for the rank of the first hokage basically...there are two huge statues of them by the waterfall where Sasuke and Naruto fought when Sasuke left the village. Madara lost and has been trying to gain control of the village ever since....he controlled the 9 tail fox when it attacked konoha before it was sealed in Naruto. He is now in charge of Akatsuki but no one knows it. He has disguised himself as Tobi. He also stole his younger brother's mangekyo because he over used his own. Because he did that, he now has a permanent mangekyo and is pretty much better than anyone alive. I'm pretty sure he is immortal or at least over 100 years old or something considering that he was old enough to fight the first hogake before the leaf village started and the third hokage lived a very long life.
