Orochimaru can't really be killed since he is immortal and the only way to defeat him to to seal him which Jiraiya has nothing to do that with, except probably frog techniques.

I'm pretty sure Jiraiya has a sealing jutsu. Jiraiya used the four toad statue sealing jutsu against pain.

Jiraiya and Orochimaru were both (should I use past tense for Orochimaru? since he technically isn't dead) Kage level. It would be close. Its a shame we haven't seen the fight when Jiraiya attempted to bring Orochimaru back. The only direct confrontation between the two was when both were crippled by something (Orochimaru, his arms and Jiraiya was still half-drugged). Jiraiya was very good at finding out his enemies weaknesses during battle, and Itachi and Kisame didn't want to fight him. Itachi owned Orochimaru earlier in the series with very little effort. In the end, since Jiraiya was a genius when it came to seals combined with Sage mode, Jiraiya would probably come out on top.

Orochimaru is usually pretty arrogant in his fighting style and Jiraiya would be willing to prep SM much sooner (I don't think Orochimaru has knowledge on it at least). I personally think he could summon at least 2 boss toads (he is the toad sage after all), so the threat of Manda seems less scary with that back-up. It'll probably come down to them countering each other with various ninjutsu and frog/snake combat. Then Jiraiya will attempt Sage Mode and with strain on his boss summons, make it just in time (seems manga-like to me) and proceed to defeat Orochimaru with Frog Song or just plain overwhelming until Orochimaru runs out of juice. Although if Orochimaru has ET I would tip it in his favor. Those 2 ET are pretty deadly

Well Orochimaru can also summon Boss summons so that cancels out. I don't see Jiraiya getting prep. Especially since Orochimaru can use sea of snakes or Yamata jutsu..

Orochimaru isn't immortal.

He maxed out on chakra after 3 or 4 Oral Rebirths.

That's how he started to lose control over his host body during his fight with Naruto. After about a minute of recovery, he regained control and proceeded to operate without problems until the natural time limit was over about 50-60 chapters later.

Orochimaru's Snake are of little threat to Jiraiya. Jiraiya was at 30% when he fought against Orochimaru and he still created a swamp big enough to sink two giant snakes and summon a boss toad. Jiraiya at full power should be able to create a swamp big enough to sink any snake Orochimaru summons.

10,000 snakes wave. Jiraiya defends with a Toad oil flame bullet with Bunta that should kill all the snakes.

In the end Jiraiya would enter sage mode and orochimaru would have to fight boss toads and Jiraiya. Frong Song GG!

Thats what I wanted to hear.I expected to hear from you that Jiraiya would win so I can say this:

They fought and Jiraiya failed to bring Oro back,that means they fought but Oro was victorious..Thats answer to this thread.

Not really in this match though. Jiraiya can only summon Gamabunta or Gama(Clumpsy). He doesn't have the chakra to summon both and I don't think we've seen him do it either.

Also Orochimaru has Manda which pretty much trumps all of Jiraiya's possible summon also unlike the other snakes, Manda can perform multiple actions against Jiraiya and his jutsu.

I don't see Jiraiya getting sage mode prep with Yamata Mode, Sea of Snake, and Manda on the battlefield. Also Jraiya has to be careful of Orochimaru's kusanagi which can extend instantly suprising Jiraiya.

All in All I see Orochimaru winning this only because of his extreme durability and ability to keep Jiraiya busy enough to not prep sage mode.

They were both beaten up.

Jiraiya trying to bring back Orochimaru was more of trying to convince him to stay on the good side.

There would be no point in beating Orochimaru physically and bringing him back to Konoha if Orochimaru is still evil. He would just leave again.

That whole fight was about convincing Orochimaru and when Jiraiya realized he couldn't, there was nothing else he could do so Orochimaru left.
