I'd say he gets until Kisame.

The ones below do not have enough offense to take him down nor the defense to survive his sand for long. Mind you, it is the same defense that blocked explosions with ease and was fast enough to defend against Amaterasu. Being the Kage level opponent that he is, his hype is pretty solid on his side. But ignoring that, it's pretty self explanatory until Gai enters the picture. From there, I don't see him being Gaara because of the sand's durability and strength. Don't forget that he survived an assault from Gated Rock Lee, which shows that his Sand Armor combined with his automatic sand defense makes him virtually free from all but the deadliest offense.

I think it depends on does he heal(chakra+HP restored) after every fight?
If he heals after every fight he stops @ Gai or maybe even Yamato. He has no real counter to Gai & he's just overall better for multiple reasons but Hirudora & Asa Kujaku are his downfall. It's an upgraded Lee nad we know how Lee does against Gaara.

If he doesnt heal, he probably stops at team taka he has no real counter for Jugo or really Suigetsu either. I would say he stops here normally and it's not like he'd be that exhausted with the previous matches but this is where he would stop. If he doesn't stop here hed make it to Gai as I said. I had trouble deciding if he'd stop here normally or simply move on until he loses next, so I figured Id say if he doesnt heal this is where he stops, if he starts fresh after every fight he's going to stop at Gai for sure.

I are surprised. I thought everybody would say he stomps Team Taka minus Sasuke. He did have the speed and defense to almost beat Kimimaro after-all (which Jugo considers his savior). He overpowered a taijutsu/speed expert in Part 1, surprising him and doing great damage. I can see Jugo being a problem at first, but eventually failing as Gaara sends him a long way under-ground where he can't move. Gaara only really needs a short amount of time to make sand, then he can whip out a Sand Tsunami (which I find to be Gaara's troll move

)

Well I guess youre right I was mainly talking about his chakra cannons and Suigetsu's water gun really seem out of his league. Jugo can reach him when he takes to the skies & his curse seal is perfect for that his whole team can reach Gaara thanks to the curse seal. He's the origin of course, and Gaara only beat a sick Kimimaro.
