Posting Templates?

Anyway, I've seen these "Posting Templates" on other Forums. It's like changing the area/border around a person's text. (Like color, texture, blah blah) I'm sure this is just there to enhance the "style" of a person's post, and I think it's an awesome thing to have. Now I'm not a person who deals with codes and the like, but I think we should have these implemented here.

Why? Well why not? There's also the fact these "Templates" could allow scrolling in single posts. Now some people (especially Role Players) have around or more than 1000 words per post. It may not seem like especially a lot but it would be nice if those posts could scroll. It'd save having to scroll the entire site using the scroll bar on the ---> right. I guess exactly how you guys have it for large signatures.

There's the problem of people creating their own templates though. We're not ALL Toma-rnks, so we wouldn't know how to create the code needed. And some people might even add pictures to their code which would create another problem for mods and admins dealing with pictures. Deleting a picture URL hidden in such coding could be a pain, no? Well can't you just disallow pictures for the templates? (Again, not a code person so this may seem dumb to some of the more intelligent ones. "Well disallowing pictures in these "Posting Templates" isn't as easy as you think, mister!" Sorry sir, I'm just a simpleton, forgive me! ;~; ) Back to not being able to create the "Posting Template" code, that'd just be another job for a dutiful and helpful forum member right? For a single, simple template with a simple style. (WE SALUTE YOU! xoxoxoxo) Now I'm not saying, "Oh look I just proposed this idea and everyone else should do MY work for ME! /lazyarse" but it'd be nice you know. Or atleast a tutorial to coding....no? ;~;

EDIT: The one I'm talking about is UBBC (Atleast on those forums.) Not HTML layouts. Well any code if applicable other than HTML, since I'm almost sure HTML isn't allowed here.

EDIT: I think it may be HTML I read up, and I got. "Since this code uses an HTML 5 feature"

Not a bad idea, but the problem is how do you enforce such a thing? People already don't search the forum for answers to repeated questions like "How to get custom avatar?" "How to put images in signature?" etc, so this probably won't help.

Good idea though, but something that probably would be more hassle than necessary.

You can all ready do it; you can only see it too. All you have to do is (this way only works in Chrom I believe)

>Click "Inspect Elements"
>Scroll down the code until you see this

You should get something like this; but with your own image.

Well the entire reason of this is so OTHERS can see it too, you know.
What's the point of a flashy new post layout if no one can see it? It's like getting gun skins on Condition Zero! Also, the other reason is scrolling posts. That's exactly so people don't have to scroll the entire forum to read a single post.

The greenie-meanies are busy gearing up for the winter break. It may indeed be a "no", but I think they just haven't enough free time to devote to suggestions at the moment.

For the record, I read this, like it, but haven't yet researched what would be involved in actually doing it.
