I ahve to say you have ALOT of useless posts. I can't really blame the people who downrepped you for farming, because you're doing that. I believe that the mods have warned you about it before too...

In all fairness there are a lot of users who don't know the difference between a forum and a chat. And tons of people continue posting in village threads instead of Social groups. So the villages are becoming chats and not about village stuff.

I'm relatively new to posting on forums so I've never heard the phrase "post farming" before. Could someone please explain to me what it is? I also want to say that I completely agree that people shouldn't toss neg. rep. around for no reason. It just isn't right.

I have been thinking since its introduction that this reputation thing is a bad idea. It takes something very simple, like a Naruto forum, and turns into a war-zone with people hurling bad rep against their enemies and giving rep to their friends or to powerful users whose favor they wish to gain.

Especially for younger users, this could turn into a very unenjoyable environment. Younger users may not always post at a level considered intellectually suitable by the older users, they may not realize that something is a spoiler or they may just be posting nonsense, and as a result they may lose rep for it. My question is what is so wrong with a little nonsense in forum devoted to a cartoon. I think the whole reputation thing takes some of the fun out the forum, again especially for the younger users. Older users should be above worrying whether they have gained or lost rep in a little online forum, but to younger users this may become sort of an obsession.

I am not saying that there should be no rules associated with post quality, but lets not take this so seriously.
