so this is movies Achilies right?

because as far as the Iliad goes pretty sure Aeneas, Diomedes or Odysseus could pretty much kill every single gladiator on that tv naked and unarmed

god forbid a monster like Ajax or Achilies...or Hector

Movie Achilies should still roflstomp him he was superior to movie ajax who one shot a horse

No knowledge, and almost no one can kill Achilles one on one. How is he supposed to know the only weakness is on a tendon in his left foot?

Achilles also cut through a solid gold statue like it was butter.

Achilles pretty much takes this. He was slaughtering people like it was an art form. Funny I was having this conversation when Sparticus first came out. Though if you wanna say who is more badass I would go with Sparticus.

Achilies in the film was crippled by that what killed him were the multiple arrows to the chest BTW have you seen the directors cut? Ajax is a freaking monster

yeah that implies at least the ability to lift a ton or so you combined that with the fact that he can throw spears at ranges not seen until English long bows and it gives you the impression he could just bludgeon them to jelly with their own arms if he so chose to do so

TBc you into mythical stories and low- high fantasy?

people in the beginning really overhyped Spartacus because the fight scenes looked 300ish basically and thus started assuming stuff

Conan from the eighties movie or the remake might have been a better fight

The thing that made spartacus badass was because of the fact he didn't know how to fight. His progress throughout the series is what made the show interesting. Achilles on the otherhand can was slaughtering hundreds of individuals casually. Spartacus vs Conan would indeed be a better fight.

Arnold's Conan might be a better match for Achilies with Jason's for Spartacus

Achilles, he is a Demi-God.

Unless, Spartacus has knowledge of his heel being weakened. Which, he might.

I kinda see Achilies and Spartacus both more powerful than either version of conan. I mean Spatacus almost beat to death 20 (could be less) men with a wooden sword by himself. When faced with those type of numbers both Conan were allways kinda at a disadvantage.

Conan did KO a camel and cut JEJ's head off with a blunted sword plus his feats from the destroyer.

Since I know less about Norse I find them more interesting.

That guy who wrote the Lightning Thief series and is writing Kane Chronicles series I wonder if he will do the Norse and others.

Its also another potential for exaggeration. Some people believe Voldemort and Dumbledore are powerful sorcerors in fictional scale which they aren't in actuality.

Then there is Maleficent. You might recall those threads I made in Animeforum.

Then there was this.

I think the actual thread is gone now for some reason I could only cache it.
