Shikamaru hasn't actually displayed any new feats that would change the result of Shikamaru Vs Tayuya. The problem with that idea is that he may be overestimated because of his intelligence.

Shikamaru isn't winning this unless he somehow blitzes her.

unless she goes for like genjutsu since she's BL, Shikamaru may be able to save himself but the demons would be after him since it's BL

Well Shikamaru has not shown any good speed feats per say; unless you take into account avoiding Kakuzu in their first encounter.

You went there.

Shikamaru isn't going to be able to control his shadows under the Genjutsu that he's entranced in. Unless he has gained the ability to dispel Genjutsu in any other way than self-inflicted pain, which I doubt.

Exactly, summons would be an issue. I don't recall Shikamaru ever having any real attacks that render the summons useless, other than Shadow Strangle, which would leave him basically vulnerable to a shitstorm of Genjutsu and other Summons attacking him.

And keeping up with Hidan. Those are the best two speed feats. But Hidan isn't fast at all. However, if he reacted to A...

Trench Knives don't make a substantial difference anyway, since he'll find some trouble even getting near Tayuya to begin with. Mostly due to Genjutsu and being hit if summons are already in play at the time in which he's going in with the knives.

He does not really use it for hand to hand combat. More like he attaches a fake paper bomb and infuses it with shadow chakra; the paper bomb makes the enemy avoids it then BAM suddenly they cant move because the knives with shadow chakra has already stabbed their shadow. Shadow Mimic Shuriken Technique, I think that is what Shikamaru calls it

Well he could use shadow mimic technique on the doki demon; or he could just shadow mimic Tayuya or use shadow shuriken on Tayuya's shadow paralyze her. I think that shikamaru's shadow is more powerful compared to his shadow mimic in part 1. In part 2 he could hold kinkaku eventhough it was like for 10 seconds. If he could hold down kinkaku I have a felling that he could hold down Tayuya even in CS2

Meaning he can catch her with Shadow Sewing. She isn't surviving that,

Shikamaru has gotta better with his shadow jutsu including new jutsu. When he throws the knive and it hits her shadow she is done. She wont know what the knive will do.

BG default would be in the day. I don't think anyone stresses the time o day. Even if it is at night, shikamaru has light bombs to light up the area

Well Shikamaru forced Tayuya to go into CS2 when he was younger, but with the knowledged obtained from the battle, Tayuya would be careful and make sure she doesn't make the mistake of getting caught in his shadows

Well I recall before temari stepped in to save shikamaru, he had her in his shadow and she was breaking free and about to kill him, i sense that might happen if they go at it again, shikomaru is good but she is better.

Shikamaru lost his fight with Tayuya because he only had one offensive jutsu and it sucks.
