Serious Cheating problem on Generations

OK so usually I wouldn't complain about losing, not even to a spammer, even though spamming is really sad, but I recently lost three times to same guy and the reason I say he cheated is as follows.

OK so we were in this 4 man tournament and I was first up to fight and then for some reason it said error in transmission, so our internet connections couldn't connect it said, but for some reason the x went over me and not him as well and I lost, so I thought OK maybe it was just an internet thing even though everyone I fight says I have a perfect connection, then the same thing happened to the next guy he was supposed to fight and he won without even having to fight.

So at first everyone thought I quit, but they messaged me telling me the same error in transmission happened to them. the next two tournaments this same guy was the 8 man tournaments and the same thing happened every time. then I actually heard other people complaining about the same thing happening to them in other tournaments he was in.

So how is he doing that, did he hack the game?

Has this happened to anyone else?

No. This has not happened to me before. He must be using a cheat.

Pay attention to the connections of those who you fight in tournaments lol. It's always safe to remove red connections and be cautious of orange. If it happens while he's a blue connection he either has a crappy provider or he's using some exploit with his Internet, I doubt it's that though.

Well they weren't my tournaments and he didn't have a red or orange connection, but happened to every single person he was supposed to fight, I mean it said we couldn't connect with him be we were the only ones who were marked down for a loss while he didn't, now I'm not sure how it's supposed to work, but if neither person was able to fight then shouldn't they both lose, instead on one getting to go on?

This can only work if he's the host, or if the host places him in the top spot.

In the event of a draw, the player who would be where the host usually is (The left side of the screen) will be declared the winner.
When the match disconnects, it acts as if the game timer went to 0. If both players are at 100% health, it is a draw.

Unfortunately I can't confirm or deny if this person was manipulating the game to do this, nor can I tell you how he would be able to.

Well the match never started and it happened in every single last tournament he was in and he always joined it was never his session. Because the first one I was on with him a few people quit because he joined so I thought OK maybe he's really good and they don't feel like losing to him again, but the matches never started, it always said error in transmission and he'd win and it happened in every single last match he was in.

i know ppl know how to do this because i played a guy that was like 500+ and 3 and when I was about to beat him in a ranked match he quit and didnt get a loss.

Some people save their game after every match, so if something goes wrong they can go back to their reserve to correcy that "mistake"

Actually, people just disconnect from PSN/XBL before they lose, and it only counts as a disconnect, not a loss. It's very common and highly frowned upon, called Ragequitting:


As you can see, we had a perfect, 3-bar connection, and he was at half health 30 seconds in.

What i'm saying is if they''re smart and they care about losing that much they could make it so they never "lose" by saving after every battle as a backup. That way they get 0 disconnections. Either way I dont play with over 3 disconnections or if they have a flawless record of 2000-0 lol something is off when that happens.

He didn't quit, it would just say error in transmission for every match he was supposed to be in before the match even started and i mean like before they even got to pick the stage why would fight in and he'd get to go to the next round every time and end up winning the tournament.

You'd have 0 disconnections after waiting 12-24 hours anyway. I've had legitimate disconnections (such as powercuts) and the DC mark says for a day at most. It would be unnecessary to save your data just to reset it to 0, if it resets anyway.
