PRP: Health System

[Pool]

First Evolution:
160 health
Deals 1/2 base power of moves(for example, hyper beam would deal 75 damage)

Second Evolution:
240 health
Deals 2/3 base power of moves(Hyper beam would do 100 damage)

Third Evolution:
310 health
Deals regular base power of moves(Hyper beam does the full 150)

This is to be sure that other first evolution pokemon cannot beat third evolution pokemon.

Super Effective: +10 damage
Not Very Effective: -15 damage
Critical Hit: Double Damage
Each stat increase will increase defense or attacks by 10 points, for two turns.

Poison: The enemy will take 10 damage for two turns. The 1d5 rule is still in effect.
Badly Poisoned: The enemy takes 1 damage that doubles each turn. 1d5 rule is not in effect.
Paralyze: Roll 1d3, and if its a 3, your pokemon cannot attack for one turn. The 1d5 rule is in effect. Lasts two turns.
Burn: Enemy takes 10 damage, two turns, enemy deals 15 less during this time. 1d5 rule is in effect.
Sleep: Cannot make a move. 1d5 rule is in effect.

Looks good, what about critical hits, double super effective (x4), and barely effective (x1/4), or are those already covered or are we not doing them?

Oh, and what about Pokemon with no evolutions or only one?

Oh, and I still am not sure about being able to use Hyper Beam from the start. I was thinking it might be cool to put limits on how powerful of an attack you can use based on badge count.

In that case, having the forget attack to learn an attack would be cool, maybe making it where you forget the attack forever unless you get a TM (if you decide to do those).

Not sure that would even work well though, since the base power is already fractionized.

Gym Badges could work for something though.


The last few are just suggestions as opposed to questions on it.

Critical Hits are double damage, which is up there. Super Mega Effective(x4) would be +20 damage to the move. Barely effective would do 30 less damage.

Might be able to incorporate gym badges, but I want to keep things as simple as possible. Pokemon with no evolutions start at 310, and two evo's start at 240 then go to 310.

You're bringing your bfv problems here too?? Yes we know many people in base can beat others in their final forms,but it's a text based roleplay. We have to be fair and set guidelines.

By that same token, yes a squirtle at level 99 can beat a level 36 venusaur,but that's beside the point. This is a text based rp, not an anime or progressive game.

So right now, my gibble has 1 EV point. And my Eevee has 1 EV point.

And say, if I want an umbreon, do I have to use EV points at night, or a moon stoneh.

10 Evo Points = More Health, More Damage, or whatnot.
