Here's what I wonder...
Why isn't Obama using the money we are getting to pay back the Chinese?

We need that off of our shoulders more than ever, because if we don't give it back, they could say, "IT'S MY MONEY, AND I WANT IT NOW!" and try to take us over. Then we'd be Communist. Can anyone say "Red ~~Forman~~ Scare" all over again?

I mean, we like Obama, but not as much as the Communist North Koreans liked Kim Il Sung. Rather, they were FORCED to like him, love him, and keep a picture of him around the house at all times. They even cried when he died.

It's such a big threat but has become something in the background that could be slowly and silently lurching at us. What's a better time to invade us than when we're in a recession?

Why hasn't this become an issue?

It's not an issue because they won't invade us, and can't invade us.

spend some time, do some research on the chinese army, air force and naval fleet. we have something like 12x more fighter jets than they do and like 5x the size of their navy. They wouldn't even get to the coastline.

Not to mention if they DID manage to reach our coast there are more people in the U.S. with guns that would shoot at them than there are people they could move to our coastline at any one time.

Also, what money? The U.S. doesn't make any money, our spending is greater than our profits. Hence why we're borrowing from other nations.

THe money we are getting is from the Chinese.

While it is a big problem, I wouldn't worry about China "taking over."

I dislike people who tend to be biased towards parties. I mean, it's understandable that people have their preferences but it really gets on my nerves when they pretend their party is holier then thou then the other party, who apparently thinks so.

Not like any of the other candidates on either side are any better looking.

But then I suppose it's good we don't elect Presidents by how they look. And if there are people out there that do they probably should even be voting.

First, having a national debt is really not as important to our current situation as you might think. Have you noticed that we don't seem very keen on collecting the money other countries owe us? The Chinese are likely less concerned about the money we owe them and more concerned about our ideological differences.

Second, while we may be in a recession, we still have (arguably, I suppose) the most powerful, expensive, biggest, most advanced military in the entire world. As pigheaded as the Chinese government may choose to act, their people are just as scared of us as we might be of them. Probably more so.

The USA invading China or China invading the USA would both likely end in failure. Defense of one's homeland tends to motivate the defenders.

Also, Congress is in charge of the finances of the government. And Congress won't be making any money, though they might save a little. It would not (realistically) help with paying off our national debt to China.
