The BG is now under martial law

Any and all threads and posts made in any forum in the BG(excluding the burrow), will be placed into a moderation que.

What does this mean for you all?

It means that absolutely none of your posts will show up until approved by a moderator. Anything that we feel infringes upon the Forum Rules will be deleted automatically. If we feel someone is chill enough to not need their posts moderated, we may give said person the ability to bypass the moderation que. In the meantime, you're all gonna have to deal with this.

To the users who don't habitually troll/flame/throw-a-fit-when-they're-wrong/etc., we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

It's a place where the mods of the BG can talk about ways to help the BG, it's been there forever now.

The time it takes depends on how fast we see it.

It can be nearly immediate if a mod is spending time in the BG. If not, much longer perhaps.

Think of it as time to carefully consider your reply and write a truly amazing post.

I don't spend much time in the BG but this seems excessive. If any and all post must be cleared by a mod then the activity here will be shot. I'm not sure how much flaming and trolling was going on but it's hard to believe it warranted this.

Considering the excessive amount of flaming and trolling that I hear about this place at least twice a week, coupled with seeing the backlash from the users who frequent this forum when someone tries to remove the excessive amount of problem members... I think this has been a long time coming.

Drastic though it may be, it could be worse. It could stay closed indefinitely.

It's also worth noting that this IS the only current alternative to closing the place down. I don't think anyone really wants the BG to be closed down, but with the excessive amount of trolling/flaming/baiting something most definitely needed to be done.

I'll be honest, we've never had to do this before for any other community in any other forum section. This is the first time we've had to implement something this drastic to keep users under control. If that doesn't give you guys an idea of how serious your situation here is, I suppose nothing would. Just know that TBC's idea of closing down the BG at least temporarily is not off the table and may yet be considered if the current solution doesn't work out.
