GUYS!!!!! TOBI'S SPECIAL ABILITY IS SPACE/TIME DISRUPTION.
the argument that some have put against obito not being tobi is pointless. Why is it so unbelievable that there is a possibility that after being rescued from under the boulder (bearing in mind he was never buired and death is apparent), Obito is unable to hone one jutsu and go back in time and orchestrate the events that lead to the release of the nine tales (and a grudge match with his former sensei)??
Remember Orochimaru was rogue at this point with his not so healthy curiosity about the Sharingan and the Uchiha, so coming across a dying Uchiha would have been an opportunity too good to miss. Still not enough to convince you? Where at this point is the medical ninja (not originally from Konoha) Kabuto? How long has he been in the service of Orochimaru?
So getting back to date, the latest chapter shows Kakashi's possible doubts of past events. The strange connection with their Sharingan. The image of Tobi showing Sasuke the one side of his face unmasked, shows marks whos to say its not SCARRING rather than wrinkles. From the boulder or Orochimaru's experiments.
And another thing..... what was under that tile in the Uchiha household that sent Sasuke over the edge? Was it something that Obito read aswell?
Too many questions.

A lot of people have forgotten about the stone tablet that Itachi told Sasuke to read all those years ago. But remember, the tablet has three parts: a part that can be read with a simple sharingan, a part that recquires the mongekyo sharingan, and a part that recquires the rinnegan. technecically, the only two people who could have read the entire tablet are Madara and Tobi, since they possess all three dojutsu. Sasuke only had a sharingan when he read the tablet and the same would go for Obito. They read the part that hundreds of Uchiha have likely read before them. Only the select few wielders of the mongekyo sharingan can read even two-thirds of the inscription.

Interesting theory, but I don't see how it's any more likely than anything that's already been said.

Kishimoto has been pushing the idea that Obito is Tobi for the last couple of chapters, I feel like it's TOO obvious and he wants us to think it's Obito (Everyone's been saying that from day one) The reveal wouldn't be that huge if it was Obito and it'd be gay. Izuna being Tobi would be an awesome turning point and it'd be even more awesome if he met Edo Madara.

the thing is with the latest chapter kakashi cant even believe its obito. on chapter 598 page 3 he says "he cant be, no thats impossible" you tobi=obito non believers also think its impossible. for example its impossible because he got crushed by rocks, because during the 9 tail attack tobi was older then kakashi etc...
something obviously happened to obito because kakashi knows that its obito but he cant believe, he was in a empty look. kishi will let us know thought hopefully next chapter add least.

I believe that tobi is obito. Kakashi obtained the sharingan in his left eye from obito and can use the Kamui which is unique to kakashi and tobi. tobi uses it but at a more perfected level. There is no one else in the series that has be said to have used that ability. I dont think it is a mere coincidence that kakashi's sharingan and tobi's have such a connection with that ability and besides that is the only true unique ability that tobi displays except for the izanagi. even though kasame saw his face and said that he was the mizukage doesnt mean that obito couldnt have survived and left the village and ruled over a different village. we only know of two mizukage. the 1st and 3rd have not be revealed so who is to say that he didnt become the mizukage at one point. there is a lot of speculation but i truely believe that tobi is obito.

Who ever is behind the mask is EVIL and wants war. Obito wasn't evil. And besides he was crushed and died.
I mean if it DOES turn out being him, I am going to be highly upset, mainly due to the fact that Obito was a sorry sad excuse for an Uchiha to begin with. (My opinion entirely)

It even makes more sense if it were to turn out being the Sage himself.

And on top of that Obito was a little kid, how on earth would he know anything about Madara? Or anything related to him? That happened way before Obito's time.
And besides, who ever is behind that mask looks ANCHIENT, Obito (Granted he didn't actually die) wouldn't be that old nor look that old.

Going about it based on hair cut similarities and such just doesn't make much sense.

We're just gonna have to wait and see...

i agree obito not evil, when minato fight tobi, he can sense tobi is really dangerous and he is evil like madara. no tobi is not evil.
