I have just one question about this whole debate going back and forth for the last few posts...isn't Magellan a Logia? Doesn't that mean that Mihawk technically wouldn't be able to hurt him unless he caught him off guard or he had Haki?

No, Magellan's a Paramecia user. Luffy hit him when they fought at Impel Down, though it didn't do any permanent damage.

Ivankov couldn't keep up with Kuma. He teleported right behind him. The only reason Luffy and Ivankov noticed where exactly he was is because of the Newkama's screaming. Ivankov then attacked when Kuma was killing them.

Make this a one-on-one. Kuma teleports behind Ivankov. Ivankov doesn't know where he is. Pressure Cannon.

While I'm not sure if Bosushoku Haki can completely protect against Kinjite, for now, I'll move him up.

Even if it doesn't Luffy has built up an immunity against it. So I am pretty sure Magellan would get raped Now. Especially if he was winded against pre timeskip Luffy punches.

Luffy's body has only been exposed to Magellan's Hydra, not Kinjite. He got rid of his wax armor before he was "infected". Needless to say, Kinjite is clearly a step above it.

Regarding their fight, although Magellan was initially winded on the first attack, he proceeded to fight as if nothing happened. He got hit again and shrugged it off. He reacted to and countered Luffy easily immediately after.

In fact, in their second fight, it was Luffy that was getting winded by his repeated attempts to stop him while Magellan effortlessly blocked him.

Ch. 547, pg. 3 shows all of it on one convenient page.

I remind you that this list includes hype and power-scaling. While time-skip Luffy is very impressive, I highly doubt Oda's going to make his goal of obtaining One Piece a breeze now. I imagine that all the "First-Rate" characters and above have gotten appropriately stronger.

Regardless, Luffy is above Magellan for now.

Doesn't change the fact that before the skip he took hydra without the aid of COA. COA clearly can be used like an armor to defend against attacks such as Kinjite. Luffy is clearly extremely adept at using COA.

I won't deny the fact that Magellan tanked the majority of Pre-timeskip Luffy blows. He was the warden. But it doesn't change the fact he caved if only for a moment under some of his blows. Luffy didn't even use gear 3 on him. That easily shows that Luffy could end him mid difficulty. Luffy casual pistol is way more powerful than his previous gear 3. Not to mention his speed. Magellan would be done befoe even using Kinjite.

No but Oda has basically achieved his purpose of turning Luffy into a dominating character again. Luffy competing agains powerful fighters and dominating them is a common theme in One piece. That is a reason why I don't put it past Oda giving Luffy the strength to fight an admiral

Same tier doesn't mean equal strength. Just a range. Each character's placement is based on the last time we saw them.

Time Skip Luffy should be able to beat those below him, who are mostly pre-Time Skip, considering his control over Haki.
